OUR ANCHOR SCRIPTURE isn’t a suggestion but a firm and strict command that orders Spouses to DRINK sexual intimacy.
God never issues arbitrary or unjust commands. It means then that Sexual Intimacy is much more than pleasure. It’s a necessary marital activity that God Himself wants you and your spouse to observe and perform constantly just as much as you drink natural water regularly.

And why do you drink Water anyway? First, because you need to break your thirsts. But that’s not the only reason you drink Water, right? You drink Water during meals because it’s an important part of your daily nutritional intake. So, at each meal without exception you drink Water. But you don’t stop there. You also drink waters because you need to avoid dehydration; so you drink water to meet your body’s need for the basic fluid supply that only natural Water can provide. Therefore, drinking Water is not a pleasure but a necessity for the sake of your health and life. And that’s how it is with Sexual Intimacy. Sexual Intimacy is much more than a marital pleasure. You need it to fortify, deepen, consolidate and build up your One Flesh bond as a couple. You need regular intake of the Water of sexual intimacy to keep you and your husband or wife immunized and protected from the epidemic of sexual immorality and the sexually transmitted diseases that go with it. You need it for several other reasons that can’t be detailed here because of time and space. So, Sexual Intimacy isn’t all about making each other smile. It’s to help you keep alive and PURE in a world that’s overwhelmingly polluted with sexual vice and wickedness.
