However, it’s of uttermost importance that we take our cue for Living from the One that made us and gave us Life. He is THE GREATEST WORKAHOLIC EVER. He created this big wide world with it’s mountains, hills, rivers, oceans, amazing skies and solar systems in six short days. And at the end of His creative work, He was neither weak, tired nor faint. But d’you know what? Even though He is The Ageless and The Tireless One, He still chose to rest on the Seventh Day! Why? Because there’s a Time for Everything! A season of work should be followed by a time of rest and leisure!
Today, many Spouses are weak, sick, tired and aging faster than they should, all because they don’t take time off to rest and unwind!
Thank God for your wonderful career goals but don’t let the pursuit of those goals turn you into a wreck!
Learn from the Greatest Worker ever: Jehovah, our God. His taking a Break from work on the Seventh Day is a very loud message to all Spouses. Take a Break from time to time to rest, refresh and be rejuvenated. This is of extreme importance.
In Life, there’s time for everything. There’s a time to laugh and a time to dance! Recognize those times and moments; make use of them: laugh hilariously and dance like no one is watching! Yes, you and your spouse: get into the Bedroom, which is the Secretariat and Headquarters of your Marriage; lock the door and get an anointed song playing; strip completely and dance together until you’re both wet with sweat and aglow with joy!
Yes, it’s true that you’ve still got the Kid’s school fees to pay, rents to settle and other serious obligations crying for your attention. But even then, learn to take a break to laugh and dance from time to time! These twin exercises will help you in no small ways. They’ll reset your mood and reinvigorate your spirits.
