GOD JOINS SPOUSES at the inception of Marriage and happy is the Couple that’s wise and discerning enough to
humbly invite or allow Him to weave Himself into the Cord of their Marriage and become it’s Life and Guide! Such a couple understands the words of Jesus in John chapter 15: “WITHOUT ME YE CAN DO NOTHING”.

Yes, without Jesus we can do nothing including living successful and godly married lives that are continually victorious and thrilling.

Our anchor scripture tells us that “A THREEFOLD CORD IS NOT QUICKLY BROKEN”. Does this divine declaration remind you of the fellowship Song that was common place among Believers many years ago? That Song says: “Bind us together Lord, Bind us together with LOVE THAT CANNOT BE BROKEN….”. Dearly Beloved, have you not by now realized that the Love of God is the only Love that cannot be BROKEN? Your love for your spouse and hers for you can be broken, at least momentarily; and then you begin to work on mending the rift and sewing the torn part of your love fabric.
And that’s why Goddy Oku of Godiac Studios, Enugu, a foremost Gospel Musician and topnotch Producer of the 1970s sang: “The Love of God is the only true Love…He gave His own Life for His friends… Jesus’ Love is the only true Love…That will endure to the end!” God’s love never gets torn.

Now, when as a Couple you humble yourself and allow God to be the THIRD FOLD in the CORD your Marriage, His presence will not only fortify, electrify and galvanize your union
but will constantly
replenish your Love, Affection, Passion, and Compassion for each other
whenever your “Love Tank” begins to run empty! This way your Love Life is renewed and kept strong.

From our anchor scripture, we are also let into a very important secret and it’s that the negative forces of life, both physical and spiritual, would pull at our marriages and stretch them to breaking points.
It doesn’t matter if you’re holy, pure and blameless like Zacharias and Elizabeth. The mysterious situations and circumstances of life will pull and push at your union and it will take the presence of the Lord as the THIRD FOLD in the CORD of your marriage for it to survive: “A THREE FOLD CORD IS NOT QUICKLY BROKEN”!

When your marriage CORD consists of only TWO FOLDS: YOU AND YOUR SPOUSE, it can easily snap under overwhelming and unrelenting pressures. And that’s why YOU NEED to ask the Lord to come into your union and be the THIRD FOLD. His presence will make your union formidable. If you want Him to become the THIRD FOLD in the CORD of your marriage, then you will need to repent of your Sins and tell Jesus Christ to come into your Life and become your personal Lord and Saviour.
Go into prayer and ask Him (Jesus Christ) to come into your Heart and HE WILL.
