ONE “WEAKNESS” YOU MUST RUTHLESSLY DEAL WITH (if you’re married and still have it) is LUSTFULNESS.

What is LUSTFULNESS? Lustfulness is: A VERY STRONG SEXUAL DISPOSITION THAT MAKES YOU TEND TO ALSO DESIRE SEXUAL INTIMACY OUTSIDE YOUR MARRIAGE. It’s a negative frame of mind. Other names for it are EVIL CONCUPISCENCE(Colossians 3:5 )and LASCIVIOUSNESS(Galatians 5:19).

If you have this tendency you must be WATCHFUL.

Since God has blessed you with a Spouse, you owe yourself the obligation to get all the sexual satisfaction you need from your God-given marriage partner. The Bible says:

“But because sexual immorality is so common, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman should have sexual relations with her own husband.”(1 Corinthians 7: 2 CSB)

You probably have noticed by now that there are “some kind” of persons of the opposite sex that you tend to be more easily attracted to or that you seem to like more than others because of one or more features of their physique or personality that you greatly admire or cherish.

Please, listen very attentively. When you meet such persons at close range or business brings you into close working contact with them, BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL NOT TO LET YOURSELF PLAY THE FOOL. Don’t panic, neither be afraid. Nevertheless, don’t let your feelings lead you. Don’t let your emotions becloud your sense of judgement and reasoning! Remember that no one can remove your dress but you. So, don’t behave as if Satan can force you to undress and commit adultery. He never does, has never and never will.

Understand that there are a number of things you could do in such circumstances and you’ll be victorious. Here are some of them:

(1) WATCH AND PRAY
When you find yourself in a situation where you’re very close to a Woman/Man you feel a strong sexual pull towards, quickly heed the command of Jesus: “WATCH AND PRAY THAT YOU DON’T FALL INTO TEMPTATION”!!! You may not be able to pray out loud, don’t worry. This is particularly, if it’s a crowded office or a conference hall. You can, however, pray silently and yet earnestly within your heart. Ask the Lord to fill you with the Holy Spirit. Pray for the release of Grace upon you to enable you stand firm and upright and not bring disgrace to yourself and your family.

(2) BE SOBER AND VIGILANT
Another scripture to remember and obey at such a time is 1 Peter 5:8. “BE SOBER, BE VIGILANT…” Be Alert and SOBER in your spirit. Soberness here implies a strong consciousness and awareness of the chain of negative and destructive consequences your yielding to immorality will bring upon you. They include: SIN that will make God angry with you. DISGRACE AND HUMILIATION OF YOUR PERSON as the news of your scandal will break and spread like wildfire. THE SHAME THAT WILL COME UPON YOUR DEAR SPOUSE, CHILDREN AND PARENTS. THE EMBARRASSMENT YOU’LL FACE WITH YOUR IN-LAWS: male and female; old and young. THE FATAL RUIN OF YOUR HARD-EARNED REPUTATION. THE SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES YOU WILL QUICKLY CONTRACT (Don’t be deceived to believe that Condoms will protect you. Condoms have holes in them that are called VOIDS. The HIV viruses easily pass through them). THE NOSEDIVING OF YOUR BUSINESS OR CAREER LIFE as a result of a few minutes of foul pleasure. THE POSSIBILITY OF YOUR ESCAPADE BEING VIDEOED BY A SECRET CAMERA AND UPLOADED ON THE INTERNET where your folly and “naked dance” will be freely watched by the whole world including your neighbours, colleagues at work, Church members, your old school mates, your enemies who have been seeking your downfall, your students (if you’re a Lecturer or a Teacher) youths, and even children; and the deep and massive damage it will do to you as people keep watching you making love to a stranger on their phones many years after the incident. It will be a fulfillment of the scripture as you’ll be reduced to a mere slice of bread:

“For by means of a whorish woman A MAN IS BROUGHT TO A PIECE OF BREAD: and the adultress will hunt for the precious life.” (Proverbs 6:26).

(3) FLEE FORNICATION!!! Finally, you can choose to bravely use your legs and practically flee that place where you’re face to face with the kind of person you’re sexually drawn to commit Sin with.
The Bible says: FLEE FORNICATION (1 Corinthians 6: 18). That’s what Joseph did long ago and saved his spiritual life and destiny.

Sometime ago, I heard the true life story of a highly placed Christian Brother who was posted from his Company’s Headquarters to head a State branch.
On assumption of duty in the new station, he met a female worker in his office who was to be one his Office Assistants. She was warm, respectful and beautiful. When he however noticed that she’s the “kind” of woman he’s drawn towards, he quickly took a decisive step. Do you know what he did? He posted her to an outstation in a distant part of the State; far away from the State Headquarters thereby safeguarding his own life. This is not a case of victimization. He only used his good offices to flee from her in “reverse style.” Isn’t Wisdom profitable to direct?

Walk in wisdom TODAY! Destroy your weaknesses before they disgrace and destroy you!
