HEBREWS 13:4, REVEALS THAT MARRIAGE IS AN ESTATE OF HONOUR. It means: you’re in a position of high honour if you’re married. It becomes your duty to recognize this honour and protect it because there are wicked forces whose mission is to kick you out of that position. One of their means of achieving this goal is to set sexual ambushes on your path. Again, it’s your responsibility to be as spiritually discerning as the Psalmist whose prayer for protection is in our anchor scripture for today.

In that Scripture, the Psalmist prays God to protect him from the traps, snares and gins that have been hidden in his way so he’d be caught.

As you might already know, the devil’s mission is threefold: to steal, to kill and to destroy; and he uses cunning and deceitful tactics to achieve these.

When as a married man or woman, you meet a person of the opposite sex whom you find sexually attractive, BEWARE! There’s a 98 percent possibility that they’re snares or traps deliberately and craftily placed to lure you into a sexual escapade that would probably be filmed and uploaded on the internet, to your shame and utter disgrace.

When Samson saw Delilah in a town in the valley of Sorek, he thought that their paths had crossed by a stroke of chance but that wasn’t true. The demonic principalities and powers of the land of Philistia had arranged her to entice and ensnare him. Why? Because Samson was God’s Special One-Man-Army assigned to destroy the philistines who were Satan-worshippers. Unfortunately , Samson was not discerning and so did not only walk into Delilah’s open arms but stayed on even when her demands clearly showed that she wasn’t just an illicit lover but an enemy who wanted the very secret of his power. Samson was carried away by her beauty and the free sex she lavishly offered him.

Sir/Ma, who’s that beautiful woman or handsome and rich man that’s gently pulling at heart’s strings and you’re already “falling in love and feeling romantic” with them when you know all too well that you’re legitimately married? What are you still doing lingering around them?

Quickly retrace your footsteps and run for your dear life lest you’re destroyed beyond repair.

I know that the devil is quitely advertising CHEATING to you and telling you how “so specially sweet” it is. What you call CHEATING is what God’s Word calls STOLEN WATERS. Here’s what the Bible says about stolen waters:

“Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
BUT HE KNOWETH NOT THAT THE DEAD ARE THERE; AND THAT HER GUESTS ARE IN THE DEPTHS OF HELL.”(Proverbs 9:17-18)

Those who drink stolen waters end up in the firm grips of untimely Death and go down into flaming hell. For some, their experience of hell begins on earth as their bodies are ravaged by strange and incurable diseases that makes friends and kith and kin flee from them and they’re left to go through agonizing anguish all alone in their darkest hour. If you don’t to experience this, then disengage from any secret lover you’re keeping and be faithful to your husband or wife.
