MANY YEARS AGO, A NEWLY MARRIED WOMAN went out for the regular Saturday sanctuary cleaning work in her small local church. As she worked with an older woman (a Widow), the woman began singing a short but witty song: “IF YOU DON’T HOLD HIM FIRMLY, THEY’LL SNATCH HIM FROM YOU!” She sang it repeatedly.
The next Saturday, it still turned out that only the two of them showed up for the cleaning exercise. And again, the older woman, sang that song, looking at the young Wife wittingly as she sang. When the young Wife told me about the two incidents, I perceived that the older woman wasn’t just singing for singing sake. She was actually passing an important message to the young housewife. She was simply warning her to watch over her Marriage or else Strange Women would undo her!
God has sufficiently warned Spouses about Strange Women but unfortunately, many are just not taking heed. And the Devil has cunningly changed their name over the years. They used to be called prostitutes, harlots, whores, call-girls, etc. But right now, they’re called SLAY QUEENS. And what a name it is! You don’t need a Prophet to tell you the Spiritual meaning of that name. It’s heavily loaded and speaks for itself. These are Assassins let loose to stab Husbands and men at close range, after luring them into their embrace!
And if you think that these Slay Queens are hidden in dark witchcraft covens, you’re mistaken!
Have you forgotten the parable of Jesus about the Wheat and the Tares growing together in the same place? Or have you forgotten that when the Sons of God gathered before Him in Job 1:6, Satan also came amongst them and God never drove him away?
Well, just in case you don’t know, Satan is the Stranger (John 10) and his daughters are the Strange Women, whom he has now collectively renamed, “SLAY QUEENS”. And as he is, so are they: merciless and murderous!
Right now, they don’t only frequent the gathering of Believers, many of them have become members of Churches and several are in the work force of God’s assemblies!
This Devotional piece is a wake-up call to every couple to be alert, sober and vigilant against Slay Queens! (1 Pet. 5:8).
I know of a well anointed Man of God who got slain by a Slay Queen. She first became a member of his Church and afterwards warmed her way into his bosom and then like a deadly Cobra she bit him and that was it. He was dead.
Dear Wife, please listen. You’re the Queen to your Husband.
Thanks for all you’re already doing in his and the children’s life. God bless you! However, there’s the need for you to stepup or increase your feminine vigilance over the life of your one and only Man.
Stand up to your duties. You can tackle any Slay Queen by praying more for your dear husband and using your divine Authority in Christ. And give extra attention to each of your romantic and sexual duties as a Wife; as much your strength and God’s grace enable you.
I know a Bishop’s wife who has what I call: “Slay-Queen Consciousness”. She’s not scared of them but she’s chosen to be constantly mindful of them since God’s Word warns us about them. She’s spiritually watchful and at the same time highly sexy; and intentionally so! She’s made it a personal commitment to ensure that nothing would make her Husband fall prey to any Slay Queen, young or old; in or outside Church! To this end she prioritizes sexual intimacy in her marriage and personally initiates lovemaking from time to time. This is what it should be because prevention is forever better than cure.
🍷🍗 TAKE-HOME LESSON: DON’T TAKE GOD’S WARNINGS ABOUT SLAY-QUEENS AS A JOKE. PROTECT YOUR MARRIAGE AGAINST THEM BY DOING THE NEEDFUL.
