PERHAPS, IT’S BEEN VERY TOUGH for you and your Spouse in many years of Marriage; and now you’re worn and weary and feeling that’s it’s time to throw in the towel and quit a Marriage that has brought you nothing but pains! All your expectations and anticipations have been dashed; one after the other.
Dearly Beloved, I understand how you feel but please be careful. Don’t let the enemy, even the devil, deceive you into taking a rash step that you’ll later regret.
A Pastor friend of mine once shared with me a dream that he had. In that dream, he was trekking until he approached a T Junction. From the distance, he saw a hill at the head of the T Junction. But by the time he got to the T Junction, he saw that what looked like a hill from afar wasn’t a hill, but a very huge pile of discarded Bibles! And then he had an understanding right there in the dream that the “Hill of Bibles” was formed gradually as people in the journey of Life got to the T Junction and threw away their Bibles in anger, despair, disappointment and unbelief; and turned their backs on God, choosing the calamitous path of Apostasy!
Beloved, there are also T Junctions of Despair in the marital journey! Many have got there and thrown away their Wedding rings, marriage vows, and chosen infidelity, divorce, prostitution, polygamy, or the homosexual lifestyle by going into gay marriage or a lesbian union, not minding the consequences!
Are you right now at a T Junction on the highway of marriage? Please, watch and be careful. Your Marriage may at this point look like an “enemy” you must get rid of to be really free. Please, don’t heed such thoughts: they’re of the devil.
May you not take the wrong decision at the T Junction of despair, frustration, and confusion that are on the highway of the marital journey!
In our anchor Scripture verse above, the Psalmist revealed how he survived despair: It was by HOPING in the Lord. His HOPE led him out of the tunnel of despair!
No matter how tough it is right now in your marriage, please don’t quit! Wait upon the Lord and he will meet your every need.
Be careful who you share your marital frustrations with. And mind the advise you receive.
Not all advise are good. There are bad advise that could make your marriage a hell on earth. Therefore, be careful.
Just this week, I read of a 65-year-old wife who gave birth to a set of twins! God still does marital miracles! Yours could be the NEXT!
Some Couples lived in crushing poverty for many years but later got blessed by God and are today multi-millionaires. God can do the same and even more for you!
So, don’t give up. God has seen all your toils and struggles as a couple. He’s coming with sweet and beautiful miracles that will make you testify of His goodness in the land of the living.
Whether the good things you’ve long been dreaming of having in your marriage come soon or still take very long to come to pass, do not be discouraged. Let your faith, joy and hope be anchored in the Lord alone. He is able to bless your marriage and home in astonishing ways and at His own time.
