IF WIVES WOULD NATURALLY LOVE THEIR HUSBANDS as they ought, God would not have commanded that they be trained as He did in our anchor scripture. People are only trained in what they lack proficiency in.

Virtually all young wives start off in Marriage with the view that their husbands are to love them while their role is to RESPOND. Infact, the widespread notion is: the husband is to “chase the wife” and she’s to keep resisting his chase until “after some time”. Some who justify this are quick to point to what obtains in the animal kingdom: “Look at the goat and the he-Goat”, they say. “Can’t you see that the he-goat pursues the goat for sometime before she yields to his ‘advances’? Or look at the hen and the cock. Don’t you see how the hen runs for some time before it finally stoops for the cock to mate with it ?” But how could anyone compare married couples who are bonded by a strong love covenant that has God as Witness with beasts and birds? There’s just no basis, Sir. Husbands and wives are human beings created in the image and likeness of God: having spirit, soul and body; while beasts and birds are mere animals that have neither soul nor spirit. In any case, not all Husbands have the patience or the energy to “chase” for long. And since some wives even worsen the whole thing by prolonging “the chase”, many husbands who don’t have the fear of God simply resort to extramarital affairs for survival! This is however wrong. Two wrongs can’t make a right.

Dear Wife, God wants you to function as an all-round lover to your husband, and that’s what this devotional piece is out to teach you.

HOW TO BE AN ALL-ROUND LOVER TO YOUR HUSBAND

1) LOVE HIM WITH AGAPE LOVE.
AGAPE is the unconditional Love of God. It’s the Love that moved Jesus Christ to die for us when we were most undeserving of it. Another name for it is Supreme Love.
God wants you to love your husband and seek his welfare and happiness even when he is most undeserving of such.

2) LOVE HIM AS A FRIEND
Make him your friend. Spend time with him, call him on phone, send him text messages. Choose to be nice to him. Jesus made the disciples his friends before going to the Cross. And as friends, He told them intimate things! (John 15:15)

3) LOVE HIM ROMANTICALLY
Throw away these two strange and negative attitudes: SHAME and SHYNESS. Love your man with ardour! Don’t wait for him to be the one seeking your touch, caresses, kisses, embraces and hugs. Rather, be the one that initiates these acts of romantic love. There’s nothing odd about a wife being the one that does these first. Strange Women do so all the time and are sweeping married men off their feet and into their bosoms.
In the following scripture, we can see that strange women don’t wait for men to first initiate romantic interactions. No. They HUNT FOR MEN! They’re not docile and passive. No. They swing into action to CATCH MEN. That’s why you need to be proactive in your relationship with your husband. Use your feminine charms to “catch him” and keep him at home before strange women seize him from you.

“…AND THE ADULTERESS WILL HUNT FOR THE PRECIOUS LIFE.”
(Proverbs 6:26b)

Now, let’s look at another Scripture:

“SO SHE CAUGHT HIM, AND KISSED HIM, AND WITH AN IMPUDENT FACE SAID UNTO HIM” (Proverbs 7:13) In this scripture, you can see how Strange Women cast off shame and shyness so as to be able to catch men. She threw herself on this young man rather than “doing shakara” and waiting for him to chase her! She caught or held him and proceeded to kiss him boldly in the open, not caring who was watching! And do you know what, Housewives? This is the kind of women most men like. You call them “spoiled girls or bad girls” but men call them “Sexy”! When men talk about “Sexy Women” it’s this kind of unashamed ladies that they mean. Now, the question is: as a fully married wife, what stops or holds you back from being bold and shameless in your romantic and sexual relationship with your legitimate husband? Nothing!
So, the ball is in your court.

4) BE A GOOD LOVER IN BED
Why do sinful men troop out to the strange women, despite the grave dangers of catching incurable diseases? Is it just because of their naked bodies? No! It’s because of their thrilling and diverse sexual performances in bed.
Now, are they “more feminine” than housewives? Certainly not! The difference is that they readily and actively use what they have. They’re willing to SERVE men sexually. They see sexual intimacy, not as a disturbance or an inconvenience, but as WORK, SERVICE; and they do it well, putting in their best, so that their clients would come another time. Now, what stops a housewife from using this same attitude to achieve a more noble objective? How about choosing to always make love to your husband so well each time, so that he’s convinced in his mind that you have a PhD in “Medmatics” and that it’s a waste of time keeping a Side-chick?
Wives, wake up! Be the thrilling sexual lover to your Husband as God designed you to be.
