SOME OF SATAN’S MOST SUBTLE AGENTS ASSIGNED TO BREAK UP MARRIAGES ARE FALSE PROPHETS.
Therefore, every couple
must be vigilant against them.
In our anchor scripture passage for today, Jesus Christ our Lord strongly warns us to beware of False Prophets. BEWARE means: BE ON YOUR GUARD, WATCH OUT, BE WARY and BE VERY CAREFUL!
Why the warning? It’s because even though False Prophets look so much like the true Servants of God, they are not of God at all. They are emissaries of Satan and are therefore MURDEROUS, BRUTAL, BLOODTHIRSTY, BARBARIC AND SEXUALLY LUSTFUL.
False Prophets have the penchant for transforming themselves so as to hide their true identity.
As we speak, many of the False Prophets have bribed their way and got consecrated as Bishops, Archbishops and many have also gotten awarded honorary doctorate degrees so that most ordinary church folks have no way of knowing that they are fake, except those who know their beginnings. Some of them have even built fantastic worship centers. But thanks be to God that Jesus made it abundantly clear to us that: BY THEIR FRUITS, YOU WILL KNOW THEM!
It’s important for you to also know that in changing their identity so as to gain respectability and recognition, they are doing exactly what the Scripture says that Satan and his Servants do:
“For such are FALSE APOSTLES, DECEITFUL WORKERS, TRANSFORMING THEMSELVES INTO THE APOSTLES OF CHRIST.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)
In 2005, a new Ministry was to be inaugurated and I was invited. On that day, the Guest Speaker was beautifully dressed. He looked handsome and gorgeous. After preaching, he called for those who would “sow seeds” into the new ministry. People went forward. The bottle of anointing oil he brought out for use was so beautiful I had never seen it’s type before. But much later, a woman I know told me almost shedding tears how that same Preacher slept with her and later went on to do the worst by sleeping with her biological daughter in her absence! That’s a False Prophet for you.
A young Pastor invited a Preacher as Guest Speaker in his Church’s Revival Meeting. The meeting was scheduled to last a few days.
At the end of the first day’s ministration, the host Preacher took the Guest Speaker to his hotel lodging. His meal was set and after a brief stay, his host decided to leave him to eat and rest for the night. Just as the host was about leaving, the Guest Speaker asked him, “Man of God, how about the Ministry of Comfort? What’s your arrangement?” His host was confused about what he meant? Seeing his confusion, the Guest Speaker asked, “You mean you don’t know about the Ministry of Comfort? Didn’t those who suggested for you to invite me tell you about that?” The confused host said, “No. No body told me anything about that.” The Guest Speaker sensing his innocence offered to educate him on that aspect of “Ministry”. He told him, “The Ministry of Comfort is an arrangement whereby a host minister provides A WOMAN for the Guest Speaker to sleep with in the night while he’s Guest Speaker to the Church.” Thankfully, the young minister immediately took the right step by disengaging him from preaching further and he had to leave the town the next morning.
On the day the young Pastor told me about his “encounter” with the Guest Preacher who wanted the “Ministry of Comfort”, I marvelled. But later, I got to know that it isn’t really a new or localized practice. False Prophets do this all the time. In many cases, their complicit consenting host Churches happily ask them to specify their exact taste of women: dark skinned, short, tall, married, fair complexioned, etc. And they provide accordingly.
All the real life accounts above attest to the seriousness of the warning of Jesus Christ our Lord that we should BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS. They are heartless, merciless and without conscience!
Many years ago, while on personal evangelism, a couple I ministered to told me a story that made me sorrowful for hours after hearing it. It was what a False Prophet did to a married couple they personally knew.
The victimized couple had taken their 25 years old sick daughter to a Prophetic Prayer Center. After days of stay without any visible improvement, the husband decided to go back home while the wife would stay back with their sick daughter.
On seeing that the husband had gone, the False Prophet slithered to the woman and told her that her daughter would be healed through the next healing approach he would use. The woman, as any one would expect, was happy to hear that and probably heaved a sigh of relief. The False Prophet, however, added that what he would use for the “spiritual work” would be derived from his having sexual intimacy with her. The woman compared the life of her frail 25 years old beautiful daughter to the “sacrifice” demanded by the False Prophet and felt that the life of her girl was by far more precious. She consented and the False Prophet used and defiled her. Just not long after, her daughter died!
When she got home and eventually told her husband, his fury, as should be expected, knew no bounds. His anger wasn’t against his wife but the heartless Prophet.
In the company of his wife, he went to the False Prophet and confronted him but the False Prophet instantly denied and accused them of defamation and slander and quickly got them arrested by the Police. He had the connection. Suddenly, the emotionally traumatized and brutalized couple became the accused and had to begin to struggle to extricate themselves out the police net. It took the husband calling a Police Officer in a distant city for them to gain their freedom and return home. The False Prophet went scot free!
A married woman went see a False Prophet who told her that she was married to a wrong husband. She believed him and that was it. She never returned home to her husband and children. She became the Prophet’s additional wife!
Dear Spouses, it’s good to be religious but please go well beyond mere religion. SIT DOWN AND READ YOUR BIBLE for yourself to know your right from your left spiritually, so that your marriage and home will not be crushed by heartless Preachers.
And please, listen attentively. False Prophets are now EVERYWHERE. You can find them are in Orthodox , Pentecostal, Riverside and Ocean Beach Churches, etc.
The time has come for every couple to be like the Church of Ephesus whom Jesus commended for their scrutiny of Preachers.
“I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: AND THOU HAST TRIED THEM WHICH SAY THEY ARE APOSTLES, AND ARE NOT, AND HAST FOUND THEM LIARS” (Revelation 2:2)
This Church was not intimidated by any Preacher’s bogus titles. They scrutinized THE LIFE AND CHARACTER of every visiting Preacher and found some of them not be what and who they claimed to be! God’s Word gives YOU the authority and the permission to do the same!
Test every spirit, test every man of God and every woman of God before committing or submitting yourself to them(1 John 4:1; 1 Thessalonians 5:21). TEST THEIR LIFE, THEIR CHARACTER AND THEIR MINISTERIAL PRACTICES!!! Even Christ Himself was careful with people!(John 2:23-25).
So, why should you not be?
In conclusion, we’ll look at the case of a sincere Servant of God who innocently received a stranded Minister of God into his home, not knowing that he was a False Prophet. Suddenly one day, he was to travel and he left his guest with his family, much like the Good Samaritan left the wounded man with the Inn Keeper while he continued his trip. Well, his guest was able to successfully seduce his wife in his absence. And so while he was away for two weeks, his guest took over his wife. And his wife unfortunately gave him FULL COOPERATION. The owner of the house returned home to hear of the escapades of his guest and his wife! In his grief, he hurriedly reported the case to the local Preachers’ Fellowship (PFN), but there really wasn’t much they could do. His marriage was completely damaged by the Preacher he helped
So, BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS. Don’t be deceived by titles, attires, international travels, charisma, good looks and other externalities. BY THEIR FRUITS, YOU SHALL KNOW THEM!
