YOUR MARRIAGE AND FALSE PROPHETS! (PT. 2)

Scripture:
‘(1) Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits (2) Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: BECAUSE MANY FALSE PROPHETS ARE GONE OUT INTO THE WORLD.’
(MATTHEW 7: 15-16A; 1 JOHN 4: 1)

HE WAS A PASTOR AND HAD TRAVELLED TO THE STATE CAPITAL for the weekend. Sunday morning, he was in one of the Churches in the City to worship God.

During the sermon, the Preacher suddenly switched over to prophecy. In the course of his “prophetic ministration”, he pointed to a pretty married woman and told her that her husband wasn’t God’s perfect will for her. He then pointed to the Pastor who came to the city over the weekend and told him that the beautiful Madam was his wife.

After the service, the young Pastor went over to the pretty married woman and “possessed her” as the wife “the Lord” had given him. The woman was also happy and together they gleefully travelled to the town where the young unmarried Pastor lived. He was a complete newbie and a stark novice in Ministry having begun his Church that same year or the previous one in the beautiful banquet hall of one of the hotels in the town. It’s doubtful if he had been thoroughly discipled as a young convert after getting saved. Besides, he was completely uninstructed from the Scripture about Marriage. It was a case of gross ignorance which unfortunately caused the grim words of Hosea 4: 6a to be fulfilled:

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”

As it is commonly said, one man’s meat is another man’s poison. The “prophecy” that made the inexperienced and ignorant Pastor happy to “possess” a wife in Church without the “rigours” of a marriage proposal, a courtship, traditional marriage formalities, the payment of a dowry and Church Wedding was a stinging and heart wrenching news to the husband of the woman. As would be expected, he was like a wounded lion on hearing about the charade that took place in the Church in the name of Prophecy! And now he had lost his wife! Could the Pastor who carried her away have begun stripping and enjoying her by now? Hundreds of disturbing questions must have invaded his troubled mind.

The dispossessed husband enquired and got information about where his wife was taken. He got a vehicle and with a team of helpers they arrived the town. Somehow, they traced the young Pastor’s house and successfully bundled him and the woman into the vehicle and zoomed off to their distant city where they gave the young man the beating of his life. Thanks be to God that they did not kill him.

From the incident above, can you see the magnitude of evil that False Prophets can cause with their lying tongues? Can you now understand and appreciate the
uttermost importance and criticality of Jesus’ warning to us in Matthew 7:15-17 to beware of False Prophets?

The Prophet who told the young housewife in the true life story above that her husband was not God’s perfect will for her wasn’t speaking by the Holy Ghost. He was speaking by the spirit of divination. The Spirit of God will never send any Preacher to declare the dissolution of a legitimate marriage. Why? Because God cannot contradict Himself by turning against His own Word. Hear what the Bible says:

“4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,

5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. WHAT THEREFORE GOD HATH JOINED TOGETHER, LET NOT MAN PUT ASUNDER.” (Matthew 19:4-6)
When Spouses have become Husband and Wife, God’s position is that NO MAN SHOULD SEPARATE THEM. So He will not separate them neither will He send any one to do so.

Therefore, any utterance from any Preacher that says that a standing Marriage is not the will of God is not a Prophecy but a divination from the demonic spirits.

Nearly 35 years ago, a team of high ranking Preachers came to our local Church on a Saturday. Sunday morning, one of them preached a glorious sermon that I still remember till this very day. Later, after they had gone, we heard that this same man was now ministering to women and anointing their vaginas with Olive oil. When the news got to the ears of higher authorities in the denomination, he was promptly suspended. Like false prophecies this is also the operation of demonic spirits.

True Prophecies that proceed from the Holy Spirit have a mission which are as follows:

(1)TO EDIFY THE HEARERS
This means to spiritually recharge and build up God’s people; moving them out of the place of weakness to the place of strength. So divinely sent prophecies are not for weakening you but strengthening you!

(2) FOR CONSOLATION:
True Prophecies are also for ministering hope and assurance to God’s people when things seem bleak and uncertain. In a season or time of despair, true Prophecies bring the light of hope.

(3) FOR REVELATION
To shed light on the dark and confusing areas of our lives and affairs, so we can see and know what to do!

(4) TO EXHORT
To communicate a timely and much needed message for encouragement and upliftment.

(5) GUIDANCE
Providing divine direction on what step to take at critical times.

Dear Spouses, true Prophecies come from the Holy Spirit Who is HOLY. Any utterance or ministerial practice that’s contrary to righteousness and holiness and that does not promote PURITY cannot be from the Holy Spirit. This shows that the so-called “Prophecy” that transfered some one else’s wife to another man during the Sunday morning service as we earlier saw was not from God
because God never breaks people’s homes and marriages after having joined them to stay as one flesh until death.

Similarly, the Preacher who branched off into the “Ministry” of anointing Vaginas most certainly wasn’t led by the Spirit of God. He was deceived by unclean spirits.

In the same vein, the rampant practice of giving women “prophetic baths” is ADULTERY in disguise. There’s no where in scripture where any Preacher is sent or commanded to minister deliverance to women by bathing them. If your wife is being bathed by a so-called Prophet because of a “stubborn spiritual attack” or “spiritual problem” you better wake up and find out what’s going on between your wife and the so-called Preacher. In the whole Bible, there are only two spiritual cleansing agents and a man bathing your wife isn’t one of them, Sir.
The two cleansing agents in the Bible are God’s Word(John 15:3) and the Blood of Jesus Christ(1 John 1:7)
