DEAR SPOUSES, GOD CREATED you to function at your best, as far as Sex is concerned, only in a monogamous marriage of one man and one wife. Always remember that!
In a monogamous marriage, you and your Spouse are in the ideal setting for your mutual love lives to GROW and for your romantic and sexual strengths to QUADRUPLE AND BE CONSERVED for one another!
Now, hear what the Bible says:
“GIVE NOT THY STRENGTH UNTO WOMEN NOR THY WAYS TO THAT WHICH DESTROYETH KINGS.” (Proverbs 31:3).
These are prophetic utterances from the lips of a Queen Mother who knew better. She had been married to a King and knew from experience how the King’s large harem of which she had been part, depleted the vital energies of Kings. When you see men in polygamous marriages or those who have one wife but are still sleeping around, don’t be deceived to believe that they’re enjoying more than you who is faithful to your one and only Spouse. The truth is: many of them are plagued with the harsh and regretful consequences of their choice of polygamy or sleeping around with many women.
I once traveled to a big city I don’t visit often. While there, the Police Officer who hosted me pointed at a man and told me his story. He said the man married eight wives. All was well for sometime until one day, he discovered that his male potency had suddenly disappeared! One of his wives, according to my host, diabolically hijacked it. But the man didn’t know which of them did it. Perhaps, out of envy of fellow wives who seemed more favoured than her, the culprit did it to him in revenge.
Sleeping with many women whether by polygamy or through womanizing isn’t a luxury. It goes with a high price tag. That’s why God commanded the Kings of Israel thus:
“HE SHALL NOT ACQUIRE MULTIPLE WIVES FOR HIMSELF, OR ELSE HIS HEART WILL TURN AWAY [FROM GOD]”
(Deuteronomy 17:17a; AMP). Sleeping with many sex partners perverts the heart and leads to other consequences. King Solomon, who fervently loved God at the beginning of his reign later fell out of faith and shockingly became an idol worship because of the many women in his life.
Have you ever taken time to ponder on why God commands key leaders in the New Testament Church to be husbands of one wife? (1 Timothy 3:2-12). You probably thought it’s a harsh restrictive order, right? No, God didn’t give that command to restrict His Servants but to help their love lives be in the state in which it would be safe and function at it’s best; and their hearts not be turned away from Him!
PORNOGRAPHY, ALIAS ADULT MOVIE
In our present world, one may be physically married to just one Spouse but watching pornography secretly. Watching pornography isn’t only sinful it harms you! Pornography brings you into full blown visual, mental and emotional sexual contact with many women/men making you similar to those who are sleeping around with many sexual partners. Whether you like it or not, consuming all that trash (pornography) most certainly depletes your sexual Strength. More importantly, it affects your mind in very many ways. It opens you up to new but distorted views of what the opposite sex looks like and is sexually.
Where as God wants you to be heavily drunk and intoxicated with the body of your Spouse (Prov. 5:19-20), you now see other naked women/men and the devil uses what you see to tell you that your Spouse isn’t good looking enough and isn’t sexually appealing enough.
Meanwhile, you don’t know that many of those “perfect sexual performances” on screen are drug-powered. Yes, those Porn actors/actresses are on drugs while performing and the pictures are thoroughly edited to make them look more beautiful/handsome than they are in real life.
Dearly Beloved, Porn is pure evil through and through! It diminishes the erotic vigour of the mind and body of those who embrace it. In watching porn, you’re giving away mental and bodily strengths you ought to conserve for the time you and your Spouse will come together.
Porn watching is a behaviour that gratifies momentarily but fuels you with evil urges.
A soundly born again wife began watching internet Porn. It was only a matter of time and she fell into full blown Adultery. To the extent of bringing a man into her matrimonial bed again and again when her husband was away. Thankfully, good neighbours secretly hinted him on what she was doing and one day he pretended to travel and suddenly returned in the night and caught her red-handed in his bed with the man!
I counselled a couple sometime ago. The husband was addicted to internet porn. And gradually he was hit by Impotency!
I read of a Missionary couple who descended so low as to invite their housemaid to join them in a sexual orgy of three that’s called Threesome. Porn! Porn drives the mind to strange extremes or else how would an otherwise godly couple on the Mission Field descend so low as to invite their housegirl to join them in a sexual orgy on their marriage bed? So, the belief in some christian circles that married couples could use blue movies, alias Adult Films, to pep-up their bedroom lives is satanic.
Porn isn’t entertainment. Never has been and never will be.
It’s heavy satanic assault on the body and the mind. During the production of those evil movies, spells, incantations and other satanic powers are programmed into them to affect those who would watch them!
Now, let’s go back to our theme scripture:
“GIVE NOT THY STRENGTH UNTO WOMEN NOR THY WAYS TO THAT WHICH DESTROYETH KINGS.” (Proverbs 31:3)
There are two revelations in that verse:
(1) Don’t give your romantic and sexual energies to multiple women. BE CONTENT WITH YOUR ONE AND ONLY WIFE.
Monogamy conserves your vital or bedroom strengths as a man or woman.
(2) SLEEPING WITH MANY WOMEN DESTROYS KINGS.
Perhaps, you thought that you are not a king and so this verse doesn’t concern you. Well, you’re a King! Every married man is A KING of a kingdom called THE HOME. Similarly, every wife is a Queen of her home kingdom.
And if you’re a born again Christian, you’re a King and a Priest to God the Father(Revelation 1:6).
Polygamy, sleeping around or watching pornography will destroy your kingship. The destruction could be sexual, physical, spiritual or even economic. So BEWARE!
Be happily content with your one and only God-given marriage Partner.
