WHEN GOD PROPOSED THE IDEA OF creating Man in Genesis 1: 26, He made it clear that Man would be created in the IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF GOD. In other words, Man would resemble God!
Now, when you look at Psalm 16, you’ll see that God isn’t a sad, miserable and unhappy Being. No! Psalm 16 presents a God Who lives in joy and endless pleasure. Please, read:
“IN THY PRESENCE IS FULLNESS OF JOY; AT THY RIGHT HAND THERE ARE PLEASURES FOR EVERMORE” (Psalm 16:11B)
As a human being created by God in His image, you also ought to live a life that’s full of joy and constant pleasure.
Scientifically, evidences abound to prove that the feelings of joy and happiness generated by PLEASURE benefit our bodies, minds and spirits immensely.
Pleasure and joyfulness activate the release of ENDORPHINS. Endorphins are natural hormones that alleviate pain, lower stress, improve mood, and enhance your sense of well-being.
Endorphins are released during bodily exercise, sexual intercourse and when one hears good and happy news. Now, can you catch a glimpse of the bigger reason why God placed sexual intimacy in Marriage and made it something Spouses can easily enjoy almost every day?
It’s much more than for making babies once every two or three years. It’s for you and your spouse to use in giving each pleasure that leads to the activation and release of Endorphins: the natural hormones that alleviate pains, lowers stress and boosts your happiness!
But do you know what? The devil wants you to be miserable and sad and so he gives you reasons why it’s “not normal” for you to have sexual intimacy often. He gives you traditions, culture, taboos, customs and even religion, as reasons why you shouldn’t make love OFTEN. Why? Because he doesn’t want you to be happy often. He wants your happiness to be occasional: when you have your birthday and then at Christmas. Most people don’t even celebrate Birthdays and so only December 25 is Satan’s date for them to be happy.
But God wants you to be happy EVERYDAY! Why? Because happiness and joy, which are triggered by PLEASURE, are vital to your health and general well-being. Let’s look at the Scripture:
“A MERRY HEART DOETH GOOD LIKE A MEDICINE: BUT A BROKEN SPIRIT DRIETH THE BONES.”(Proverbs 17:22)
This scripture verse shows us the great power of JOY, HAPPINESS AND GLADNESS. They ACT LIKE MEDICINE. What does a medicine do? It alleviates pains and cures diseases. Are these not what we’re told that Endorphins which are released into the body during sexual intercourse do? God wants you to have a merry heart everytime but the devil wants you to be merry just once in a year and that’s on Christmas Day when people greet you “Merry Christmas!”
Proverbs 17:22 also tell us what happens when instead of a merry heart, you have a sad or broken heart. It says: “A BROKEN SPIRIT(HEART) DRIETH THE BONES”. Do you see how dangerous the opposite of a merry heart is and what it does? IT DRIES THE BONES! And for your information, the bones are the body’s factory where Blood is manufactured. So, when the bones are drying, the manufacturing of blood is negatively affected. And blood is the very LIFE of your body! Now, can you see why the devil wants you to be unhappy, sad and miserable ALL THE TIME? Do you now see why he wants you and your Spouse to weaponize Sex and make it an instrument of torment and revenge by depriving each other of it and breaking each other’s heart so that your bones would dry up and the production of blood in your body would be lowered and your health and longevity endangered?
Now, our anchor scripture tells us something you need to give attention to. It tells us that the VOICE OF REJOICING is in the home of the righteous! Again, the devil and the circumstances of life will fight against this becoming a reality in your home. But God wants you to take action EVERYDAY to ensure that THE VOICE OF REJOICING IS IN YOUR HOME. How do you achieve this? By simple obedience to God’s Word:
(1) REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS! (Philippians 4:6)
Don’t wait to see a credit alert before rejoicing. Rejoice in the Lord for all the reasons you know and there are thousands of them! Rejoice in the Lord always!!
(2) LEAD A LIFE OF CELEBRATION (Ecclesiastes 2:24; 3:13; 3:22; 9:7-9.)
King Solomon, the wisest king that ever lived, found out by wisdom that men ought to enjoy the fruits of their labour while they’re still alive!
Stop stashing away everything in the Bank. From time to time declare “A PLEASURE, REJOICING AND HAPPINESS WEEKEND” in your home for you and your family. Get together and enjoy the money you’re making while you’re alive. The joy and happiness from it will work like medicine in your bodies boosting your health.
(3) INCREASE THE FREQUENCY OF YOUR LOVEMAKING
As you have learned today, sexual intercourse activates the release of the natural hormones called Endorphins which alleviate pains, lowers stress and boosts happiness.
These hormones drive away depression, release new energies into the body systems and increase the brain’s ability to think with exceptional lucidity and explicitness.
Thankfully, the “resources” for making love are not high up in the sky or far away in some distant land and clime. They’re always right there in your bodies.
It’s wisdom to freely and joyfully use them to bless one another and thereby MAKING EACH OTHER MERRY AND BOOSTING ONE ANOTHER’S LIFE.
