IN OUR ANCHOR SCRIPTURE PASSAGE FOR TODAY, the gentleman having observed that the season had changed and that Winter with it’s chilly weather and rains that had kept them largely indoors for months was now over, he told his wife that they should take advantage of the new and beautiful season and change environment! God didn’t speak: the gentleman used his romantic intelligence!
Sir/Ma, you don’t need extramarital affairs to enjoy a lavish, thrilling and overflowing love life. It’s so unfortunate that many have been deceived by the devil to believe his lie that marriage is merely a boarding house for sleeping and a breeding nest for “hatching” children and that life’s fun is with strange women and strange men outside their marriage. And how multiplied millions have met death, diseases and disgrace because they embraced these lies!
The Bible says whosoever goes into extramarital affairs lacks understanding and will end up gravely wounded and his shame will never be wiped away! (Proverbs 6:32-33).

When God made Marriage a monogamous relationship of one man and one woman for life, He knew exactly what He was doing; just as He also knew what He was doing when He created trees, herbs, shrubs and animals to provide food for man.
He knew that eating the same type of food monotonously all the time would be boring and so He blessed us with INTELLIGENCE to know how to discover hundreds of new foods from the same old fruits, seeds, roots and animals that have been from the Beginning.
No one needs new trees, fruits, seeds, roots and animals created for them to be able to feed well and enjoy the good life.
Similarly, no Spouse needs another woman or man beside their legitimate Partner to be able to enjoy a rich and satisfying love life.
Just as we have been nutritionally adventurous and creative with fruits, seeds, roots and animals and have discovered new ways to enjoy them, resulting in products like canned fruit juices, canned fish, bread, cornflakes, cocoa based drinks, yoghurt, and others too numerous to mention, so also should we use our ROMANTIC INTELLIGENCE to discover new, better and more thrilling ways to enjoy our covenant love life in marriage: within the confines of righteousness and God’s Word.
Instead of sneaking away with a prostitute to a hotel in far away Dubai, why not plan with your own wife and go to the same place openly and confidently for an amazing weekend of love and affection? There’s nothing those filthy women can offer you that’s comparable to what your legitimate Spouse has for you.
The same God Who created the woman or man you’re lusting after is the One Who created your husband or wife. There’s nothing in the man or woman outside your marriage that’s not in your Spouse. You only need to be united, adventurous, creative, imaginative and innovative in your intimate relationship and you’ll be stunned at how so amazing a Lover your husband or wife is.
It’s time to abandone the traditional and cultural approach to Marriage and adopt the Biblical model that’s based on the Word of God.
