TO BE LOVEY-DOVEY IS TO BE SUPREMELY affectionate and romantic and not afraid to show it! That’s how the first couple, Adam and Eve, were in the Garden of Eden 🌲 🌴 🍄 🌻 🌳 🌾 🥀 💐 🌷 🪷 🌸 and the Bible testifies that they were both naked and were not ashamed.
The Lovey-dovey marriage of Adam and Eve was recorded to give all married couples of all times the model of what Marriage was in the Beginning: a life of boundlessly unrestrained love, romance and passion! Sir/Ma, that selfsame life and all it’s privileges are yours in your marriage TODAY.
The Bible makes it clear that married couples are called to be LOVEY DOVEY: that’s why they’re ONE FLESH. They’re licenced to be supremely affectionate and romantic and not afraid to show it.
That’s why the Songs of Solomon was given to us also. It’s a book in which we see a happy and shame-free couple who are supremely affectionate and romantic and not at all afraid to express that love for each other. The Song of Solomon is given to teach us that the LOVEY-DOVEY Life is not only good, it’s godly and imperative to living a successful Love Life in Marriage!
A highly placed Christian Leader in the present day Church said it’s better to be excessive in our practice of marriage than to do less and risk marital breakup! Unknown to this leader, she was rightly advocating the Lovey-dovey life in Marriage.
Enough of the belief that you must be modest in your exhibition of love, affection and admiration for your spouse because “it might get into their head and they’ll become proud or that they’ll see you as lustful.” Well, be informed, dearly beloved, that whatever is whispering in your ears that you should be modest, tame and sluggish in your love for your Spouse isn’t GOD but the devil. There’s nothing like lust in Marriage. No amount of desire for your Spouse constitutes lust. The devil is the advocate of lukewarmness in marriage. And Spouses who have listened to him have regretted it. A married woman once regretfully told me after she attended our Marriage Seminar and heard our teaching on “THE ROMANTIC MARRIAGE”, that if she had heard that teaching earlier in her married life, her husband wouldn’t have gone polygamous.
The relationship of Christ and the Church is meant to model to us a profoundly deep union of supreme Love where both Christ and the Church love each other boundlessly and without the faintest shadow of timidity or shame. So should you and your Spouse also love each other. So should you practice every aspect of Love.
Always remember that Adam and Eve were a Lovey-Dovey couple before the Fall and that’s why they were both naked and not ashamed. They cooed and hovered over each other every day. They’re set before you and your Spouse as a model to emulate. Especially when you’re both together in the privacy of your Bedroom.🏡🏡🏡🏡
