YESTERDAY, WE LOOKED AT “Fascination”, an important element of romantic love in Marriage. Today, we’re looking at another and it is “LOYALTY”.
The Britannica online dictionary defines “Loyalty” as:
“A FAITHFULNESS THAT IS STEADFAST IN THE FACE OF ANY TEMPTATION TO RENOUNCE, DESERT, OR BETRAY.”
Looking at the definition of LOYALTY above, it’s apparent that what very many Spouses profess or parade as LOVE and yet they are involved in extramarital affairs isn’t love at all but something completely different, dark and sinister.
Our anchor scripture presented in two different translations reveal that any person entrusted with something of value or worth is under obligation to show themselves worthy of the trust placed in them.
In marriage, Spouses mutually entrust one another with some of the most precious personal belongings of their individual lives and that’s their LOVE, EMOTIONS, SEXUALITY, BODY AND HEART.
Being entrusted with these precious love life assets of your Mate, you’re under great obligation to ensure that you safeguard and keep them with uttermost dedication.
It’s true that we live in a world that’s full of temptations. Nevertheless, since you have covenanted yourself to be your Spouse’s Lover and have been honoured with the trust of being their “Heart-Keeper”, it’s your duty to keep, protect and preserve it, if need be at the cost of your own very life, than to betray them by suddenly turning into a traitor and joining hands with a strange woman or a strange man to break their heart; all in the quest to satisfy your lust. Sadly, this is exactly what those who go into infidelity are doing!
For every Spouse that has betrayed their Mate by turning traitor and breaking their Mate’s heart through the act of infidelity, you have demonstrated an act of witchcraft just like the two mother’s in Samaria who agreed to kill their children and eat their flesh because of hunger.
The children trusted their mothers to the uttermost limit just as your husband or wife trusted you. But these mothers suddenly turned traitorous, killed the first child and feasted on his flesh. However, before they could kill the second child, his mother came to her senses and hid him. It was at this point that the mother of the child that had been cannibalized reported the matter to the King(2 Kings 6:24-30) seeking redress.
According to 1 Samuel 15: 23, witchcraft isn’t carried out only at night. Any act of rebellion, breaking of loyalty and trust is Witchcraft.
When you have become a betrayer and heartbreaker, breaking your husband or wife’s heart by infidelity and think you’re being modern or civilized, you’re actually a miserable Witch that badly need deliverance.
Thankfully, there’s a Deliverer Who is right now ready to deliver you from the grips of the spirits of lust and adultery. That Deliverer is JESUS CHRIST. Right now, bow your head and cry out to Him to have Mercy on you and come into your life and save you and He will!!!
