Sometime in mid 1980s and in a certain city in Nigeria, there were squabbles among Pastors about “sheep stealing.”
What’s sheep stealing, you may be asking? It was and still is, the act of deliberately luring members of another Church to join yours.
In those days, one of the Pastors said something I haven’t forgotten till this date. He said, if you don’t feed your sheep well, they’ll starve and become so thin they’ll sneak out of your church’s barbed wire fence. His words make a lot of sense.
If a Pastor is negligent in feeding his sheep, of course, they’ll grow thin and sneak out and visit another church that has lush scripture pastures and you would be day dreaming to expect the Pastor of the new Church to send them back to you! He’ll definitely welcome them and he might even quickly give them posts to retain their membership.

In the world of Marriage, there’s husband stealing also. Many of the unmarried young women and divorcees prefer married men.
Dear wives, it’s your duty and privilege therefore to secure your husband so he doesn’t get stolen.
Here’s how to go about it:

(1) BUILD YOUR HOUSE
God has given wives the privilege of building their homes.
Our anchor scripture tells us that “EVERY WISE WOMAN BUILDS HER HOUSE”.
As a wife, are you wise? If you’re sure that you are, then begin building.
In Ruth 4:11 the Bible records that it was Rachel and Leah that built the house of Israel. Not Jacob himself.
So women are nations and generation builders.
Even during most weddings, it’s the Wife that’s handed the marriage certificate after the signing: signifying that she’s the custodian of the marriage and home. What’s she supposed to do? It’s to build her home.

(2) BE A WISE WOMAN
A wise wife knows that she’s not meant to build a physical house but the lives of her husband, children and other members of the household.
She’ll work on making the Marriage and home cozy and warm for her husband. She’ll ensure that she builds, not a barbed wire fence but a high and tall wall of love, romance, affection, passion and deluxe sex
round her house so her husband doesn’t see other women let alone being tempted to sneak out to them.
Perhaps, you wonder how this could be achieved that the husband will become “blind” to other women. Yes, it’s possible. You can love your husband so copiously that he becomes oblivious and numb to other women.
To hit the nail on head, ensure that he’s well fed with all that a man looks for in women so that nothing in skirts would stir his interest or entice him and he’s solely yours.

A thoroughly “love-fed” husband becomes so strong and heavy that he can’t be lifted off the ground let alone being carried off.
Jesus said that His sheep know His voice and follow Him but will flee from strangers because they don’t know the voice of strangers.
Wife, let your voice be so sweet to your husband that he’d be eager to return home to you after work.
But if you’re wild, quarrelsome, contentious and rude, the voice of strange women will become sweet music in his ears.

By all means keep your husband.
You do this by loving him intensely and intentionally EVERYDAY.
Be patient, tolerant and forbearing and compassionate to him and no husband snatcher will be able to steal him from your bosom!
