One of the things you’ll need to have in your life as a Spouse is the human quality called GUTS.
That’s the quality the young Shepherd-boy, David, had and by which he slew the lion, the bear and a massive giant called Goliath.
Guts is defined as: “the courage, bravery, fortitude, nerve or determination to do something difficult or scary”.
Guts is an element of Faith.
For 40 days the Army of Israel stood still, stricken with the fear of Goliath. The insult he hurled on them day after day didn’t stir up holy anger in any of them to rise up to the occasion.
But David heard the Giant’s boastful challenge just once and couldn’t endure the indignity of an uncircumcised Philistines taunting the army of the living God.
He confronted the arrogant giant with the weapons of a Child-Shepherd and God used them to silence Goliath forever!
What’s the giant that’s trying to disgrace your marriage and make it seem a misadventure?
Did God join you and your Spouse or not? He sure did if you’re legitimately married. If that’s the case, then your union is of God and therefore not a misadventure!!
Let there arise in your heart a holy anger to say, ” Satan, Enough is enough!”
According to our anchor scripture, you’re an overcomer if you’re a child of God. The instrument of your victory is your Faith.
Arise and use your Faith against the opposing forces that have been militating against your marriage. It’s time for Guts and Confrontation!
David had confidence in his small weapons, a sling and five stones; and God used them to kill a Giant. Have faith in your Faith and your prayers and God will use them to bring down the enemy that’s been afflicting your marriage.
❤️💕 TONIGHT’S ASSIGNMENT IN THE BEDROOM
Reread the devotional piece just before bedtime and agree in unity that your marriage must stand. Plan on how to be praying together over the challenges of your marriage.
Begin and be consistent and you will see the glory of God!!!!!!
