💕🌹In our last devotional piece, we saw that the ISIS terrorists who were slain on Christmas Day in Sokoto State, Nigeria, were destroyed in their hundreds even though they were armed; all because they lacked aerial protection.

💕🌹To have a fortified marriage therefore, you must be mindful to build a union that’s a fortress, a castle and a bunker all at once.

💕🌹Why? Because the enemy, Satan, will come attacking with no less than three powerful weapons of destruction just as Jesus said in Matthew 7. Those weapons are: rains, winds and floods.

💕🌹Matthew 7 shows that it’s the house of the wise man who built on the rock by obedience to God’s Word that survived the merciless fury of the floods, rains and winds.

💕🌹So, what’s our lesson today? It’s to live your married life in enthusiastic and total compliance with God’s Word on Marriage; as written in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. By doing so, you’re building your union on the Rock that can never be moved or shifted!

💕🌹If you live your married life according to the dictates of the traditions, customs and culture of your tribe, it will be a weak and wobbly union that will easily collapse when the enemy attacks it with floods, rains and winds.

💕🌹And don’t think that the “rains, floods and winds” will come in the physical form as you know them. No.

💕🌹Jesus used “rains, winds and floods” figuratively. They represent diverse forms of attacks that satan and his agents orchestrate against married couples. Many of them don’t initially look like attacks but with time, it becomes obvious that they are.

💕🌹But when you and your spouse are doers of God’s commandments on Marriage, like the wise man who built his house on the rock, no weapons fashioned against your union will ever prosper.
