🍋🍋🍇Matrimonial Love is comparable to a young plant in a vase. Just as the young plant requires sunshine and daily watering to grow, so does your love for each other need daily nurturing. So here are the ways to daily nurture your love for each other until it’s transformed in stature and becomes Adoration and Endless Love.
🍋🍋🍇(1) DON’T JUST BE MARRIED, BE A BELIEVER IN LOVE AND MARRIAGE!
🍇Many are only married because Tradition, Parents and Age pressured them to get married. But down deep in their hearts, they don’t believe in the sanctity of Marriage. With just a little challenge or a mouthwatering enticement, they quickly step into Infidelity or head to the courts to file for a divorce!
🍇But when Love and Marriage are cherished values you hold close to your heart, you’ll go to any length to see your union grow and flourish. You’ll go to any extent in protecting them.
🍇So, don’t just be married. Let Love and Marriage become your fondly cherished Creed!
🍋🍋🍇(2) BE EACH OTHER’S ENTHUSIASTIC DEVOTEE BY CLEAVING MENTALLY AND EMOTIONALLY
🍇Marriage starts with cleaving(Genesis 2: 24). Many times, however, you’re separated because of work and other commitments.
🍇You can, however, continue your cleaving by keeping around you pictures and other affectionate tokens of love that strongly stir up your passion and desire for each other.
🍇Make your Spouse’s picture the constant screen saver of your phone, laptop and computer. Place a good and framed picture of them on your office table. Have their pictures in your Bible. Yes, keep his/her passport photo in your wallet. So many other ways you could cleave to each other while apart. Doing these will help grow your love from closeness and intimacy to deep Fondness and Adoration.
🍋🍋🍇(3) LIVE ON THE SUNNY SIDE OF EACH OTHER’S LIFE
🍇Loving mothers are never thinking of their Baby’s last poop, urine, vomit, etc. They think of the bundle of joy that the Baby is. They live on the sunny side of their infants life.
🍇Similarly, if you want to enjoy a marriage that’s full of love, you must learn to quickly put behind you thoughts and memories of the wrongs your Mate has done. Focus instead on their good attributes. When you do this, you’ll find them adorable and worthy of your endless love and affection.
🍋🍋🍇(4) SEEING YOUR SPOUSE AS GOD’S HANDPICKED CHOICE FOR YOU
🍇If you allow the devil, he will fill your heart with countless reasons to prove that you married a wrong person. You’ll then foolishly think: “Oh, if I had been a bit more patient, I could have married someone better!” Such thoughts will make you ungrateful and miserable for nothing.
🍇But when you joyfully see your Spouse as God’s precious gift that they truly are(Proverbs 18:22; 19:14) and live in gratitude with them, your love and appreciation of them will grow into Adoration.
🍋🍋🍇(5) USING YOUR CREATIVE POWER TO FILL YOUR HEART WITH AFFECTION FOR YOUR SPOUSE
Here’s where poetry, essays, letters and lovesongs come in.
🍇Today and for centuries before, the whole world has read the Song of Solomon which is a couples’ love songs for each other.
🍇In growing your love for each other to the level of Adoration and Endless Love, you need to compose Songs, write poems, essays or love letters to express your love for your Spouse. You’ll file them and sing or read them from time to time. Each time you sing/read them, you’ll find your love for them renewed and revitalised. These things are true and they work.
🍇Give obedience to all you’ve read in this piece. As you do, your love for your Spouse will grow into Adoration and Endless.
