🤎🤎🧡God is a Teacher. However, He doesn’t teach within the four walls of churches only. He can teach you anywhere, just as He taught King Solomon a vital lesson as he walked past a farm that was overgrown with weeds.
“30 I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;
31 And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.
32 Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction.” (Proverbs 24:30-32).
By seeing the evident token of a farmer’s laziness, Solomon received instruction from God (v. 32). God used what Solomon saw to teach him an important lesson.
Just as God used the sight of a failed agricultural enterprise to instruct King Solomon, so also can He use a wayward Amorist to teach you certain arts of romantic life that are vital for your marriage but in which you are still deficient as a result of ignorance.
🤎🤎🧡LEARNING FROM A DEFT AMORIST
Proverbs 7 presents an Amorist. An Amorist is a person who is expert in the arts of love, sex, and romance. Such is the lady in Proverbs chapter 7. She is a connoisseur and skilled practitioner of lovemaking and romance. She understood the art of lovemaking. Every spouse, especially wives, needs to have her level of knowledge of the amorous life. Please read:
“13 So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him,
16 I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt.
17 I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
18 Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.” (Proverbs 7:13, 16-18).
What lessons can we learn from the verses above? They are as follows:
🤎🤎🧡(1) FEMININE INITIATIVE IS VITAL
Verse 13 shows that it was the lady who set the ball rolling for the evening’s romantic session. She was completely shameless, bold, and free.
Lesson: There are no laws anywhere that say it is only the husband who must initiate romantic activities in marriage. The truth is that romantic interactions take on wings, rise to new altitudes, and become more exciting when the wife is active, unashamed, and audacious in bed. This is the quality prostitutes have, and men keep trooping to them in droves. Housewife, be romantically audacious and keep your husband’s heart from wandering.
🤎🤎🧡(2) MASTERFUL IN THE ARTS OF CREATING AN ATMOSPHERE FOR INTIMACY
Verses 16 and 17 show that she was masterful in the art of creating the right setting, ambience, and atmosphere for lovemaking.
She decorated the room with artworks, gave the bedroom a new look, changed the bedspreads, and made the room fragrant with a sweet-smelling mix of aloes, myrrh, and cinnamon.
Lesson: Spouses, learn from this woman. Give your room some special touches before lovemaking. Transform the bedroom with simple changes here and there. Learn from her use of aloes, myrrh, and cinnamon. Decorating and perfuming the bedroom make lovemaking experiences exhilarating and memorable. You can also give your bed the “Powder Touch” by spraying dashes of highly fragrant powder on it to make it sweet-smelling. Additionally, rub a little perfume oil on your hands. The lady in Song of Solomon had her hands wet and fragrant with myrrh as she went to bed (Song of Solomon 5:5).
🤎🤎🧡(3) SHE HAS A LARGE APPETITE FOR SEXUAL INTIMACY
This dear lady had a ravenous and fiery appetite for sex and wanted to make love all night till the break of day!
Lesson: Spouses, stop subduing your appetite for sex with your marriage partner. Keep it healthy, growing, and increasing.
🤎🤎🧡(4) LET US SOLACE OURSELVES WITH LOVES
She knew what most married couples don’t know: lovemaking is also for solace. Solace means consolation, relief, and succour. It is emotional comfort in a time of distress, sadness, or misfortune.
Lesson: In a world of strife and troubles, one of the means of relief given to couples is sexual intimacy. Therefore, whenever your spirits are down or you are going through tough times as a couple, get into bed. You will find sweet comfort awaiting you there.
🤎🤎🧡CONCLUSION
Mediocrity is not beautiful in whatever guise it may appear. Let us not use religion, business, etc., as an excuse to say, “I’m too busy to be concerned with expertise in the bedroom.” Such excuses have led some unsatisfied spouses into infidelity. Use the lessons you have learned today as stepping stones to becoming a deft Amorist in your own marriage.🤎

“Dear wife, submission to your husband as commanded in Scripture isn’t meant to turn you into a servant girl, as many wives suspect. It is for your good as a woman and a wife.
