🏈🏉🤎🏈🏉Sexual intimacy is God’s direct idea, design, and creation.

🤎It was conceived in the pure and holy mind of the Holy Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:26).

🏀The penis, the vagina, the breasts, the testicles, the pubic hairs, etc., were not spoken into existence. They were fashioned and moulded by God, using His holy hands (Genesis 2:7, 22). And the first couple, Adam and Eve, were personally blessed by God and commanded by Him to practise sexual intimacy (Genesis 1:28).

🧡So, Satan the devil and all his demons have nothing whatsoever to do with the gift of sex. It was made by God and given by Him to married couples to enjoy and live on throughout their lives together as husband and wife. This means that sexual intimacy is not only for procreation and the childbearing years; it is for the pleasure, entertainment, and enjoyment of spouses in all the phases of married life. It is for the renewal of their covenant life as a married couple and should be carried on until death brings their union to an end.

🏈🏉🤎🏈🏉BREAD AND WATER TO LIVE ON
Furthermore, God’s Word reveals that sexual intimacy is the bread and water for married couples. In other words, it is the specific and special nourishment for their mutual love lives, just as the Word of God is the nourishment for feeding your spiritual life.

🍂We can see plain evidence of sex being married couples’ food and water in our anchor scriptures for today, where it is referred to as bread and water.

🏈🏉🤎🏈🏉THE GREAT BASTARDISATION
However, after the unfortunate fall of man into sin, the devil came and thwarted sex, turning it into a monstrous weapon of mass destruction and an instrument for causing humanity to sin more and more against God. His children, the people of the world, have gone on to freely bastardise, commercialise, and pervert it in every way possible.

🪵However, the fact that the sinful world misuses, abuses, and bastardises sex has not changed the fact that it has an original identity, purpose, and potency as intended by the Creator—GOD.

🪺It is the duty of married couples to discover, from the pages of God’s Word, the true identity, purpose, and potency of sex and boldly use it to the fullest, without apologies, in their respective marriages, exactly as God intended.

🏈🏉🤎🏈🏉THE DEAD WORLD
In their characteristic manner, the people of the world see sexual intimacy through sick eyes and so call it demeaning and disrespectful names such as “screwing,” “bonking,” “nookie/nooky,” “shagging,” “rumpy-pumpy,” “hanky-panky,” and “whoopee,” among others.

🐂Why? Because they are dead in their sins and trespasses and lack the ability to acknowledge, appreciate, and be thankful for the glorious gift that sexual intimacy is.

🦬Moreover, because of sin, their minds are polluted, and the Scripture says:

📖”Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled” (Titus 1:15).

🍂Therefore, the people of the world, having impure hearts, consequently see sex as unclean.

🛖But God commands you and I, who believe in His Son, Jesus Christ, not to be conformed to the world but to be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of our minds. What can renew our minds? The Word of God is the divine agent for the renewal of our minds. It imparts unto us the divine perspectives of things so that we see them as God sees them.

🏈🏉🤎🏈🏉SEE SEX AS GOD SEES IT!
Our anchor scriptures have revealed the real and true identities of sexual intercourse. It is water and bread! How so sweet to know this!

🤎So, for us who are alive in the Spirit, sexual intimacy is what God’s Word calls it: water and bread. It is the nourishment for the one-flesh life of married couples. When you know this truth, believe it, and obey it, your attitude towards sexual intimacy will change drastically, turning 360°!

🏈🏉🤎🏈🏉THE THIRST AND HUNGER FOR SEX AS EVIDENCE
Just as God has built the hunger for food and thirst for water into the lives of spouses, so also has He built the thirst and hunger for sexual intimacy into the lives of husbands and wives.

🪵Just as thirst and hunger are recurrent, so also is the urge for sexual intimacy recurrent. No matter how glorious the physical meal you ate the previous day was, on the next day, your body will still crave a new meal. Similarly, no matter how wonderful tonight’s sexual experience, by tomorrow evening, your body may begin to desire a fresh sexual experience because a new thirst and hunger have begun to stir within you.

🍂This is not lust; rather, it is the God-given nature at work.

🏈🏉🤎🏈🏉WHEN SPOUSES UNDERSTAND
When spouses understand that sexual intimacy is the food and water of their covenant love life in marriage, they will be more careful to avoid causing their partner to remain thirsty and hungry, thereby becoming vulnerable to the temptation to accept the devil’s poisonous offer called adultery.

🏈🏉🤎🏈🏉CONCLUSION: NOURISH EACH OTHER, THEREFORE
If you can’t remember all you’ve learnt from today’s devotional, at least remember the lesson that sexual intimacy is the bread and water for you and your spouse as marriage partners. Consciousness of this truth will help you not to be so cruel as to starve each other of sexual intimacy, knowing that it is the nourishment for the one-flesh life of a couple.

🪺Furthermore, this knowledge and consciousness will help you to be faithful in ministering sexually to your mate, and God will, in turn, be pleased with you and see you as a faithful steward of the gift of sexual intimacy that He has entrusted to you.
