WHEN GOD INSTITUTED SEX IN THE BEGINING, His plan and purpose was that it would be within the confines of Monogamy: the marriage of one man and one wife. Our second anchor scripture declares one of God’s fundamental plans for marriages: Man would leave his parents and CLEAVE UNTO HIS WIFE. The CLEAVING here is basically sexual intimacy. God Himself instituted Sex the same day He instituted marriage and it’s a core component of it.
If God Who instituted Sex sees the monogamous marriage as the best setting for it, is it Man with highly limited knowledge that can tell us the best way to get the most out of it? No! And that’s why our third anchor scripture, taken from Romans 1 tells us what becomes of men who think that they’re wise and therefore choose lifestyles that are contrary to what God has commanded in His Word. They’ll end up being fools!!!
Our first anchor scripture tells us of Solomon’s wild adventures in Womanizing. It’s so unfortunate that the same man who practiced true monogamous love in the Songs of Solomon would stray so far afield into the confused life of marrying 700 wives and keeping 300 concubines in addition. The Bible tells us that he “clave to these women in love.” Please, note the word CLAVE which is the past tense of CLEAVE, which is what God commands husbands to do in monogamous Marriages. The CLEAVING Solomon should have done with one wife, he extended to 1000 women. For you to understand his folly, let’s look at it this way. You’re supposed to hold one beautiful lady in your firm embrace and amorous hug but instead you invite 999 more ladies to come into your arms. Can you hold all of them in your bosom? NO! The truth is that even if in your wildest fantasy you desire to do so, you can’t! Yes, you could delude yourself with every “possibility thinking” concept but you can’t hold more than one woman in a truly amorous and fulfilling embrace. The reason? Oh it’s simple: you are not designed to hold more than one woman in a truly satisfying love affair. And not just that, you’re designed to excell sexually only within the confines of your marriage.
To make a success of your marriage and indeed your relationship with your wife, you must become a Womanizer but a completely different breed of Womanizer. You must become a Godly and a Holy Womanizer.
The Dictionary defines the ordinary and godless Womanizer as:
“A man who engages in numerous CASUAL SEXUAL AFFAIRS with women.” This man is like the proverbial rolling stones that gather no moss. Or the Jack of all trades and master of none! He’s a laughable guy indeed. He is involved in CASUAL sexual affairs with numerous women. Doesn’t this give you a hint of what King Solomon’s sex life with his 1000 women must have been? It was casual, superficial, shallow, light, peripheral, hasty, flimsy and lightweight. And that’s how the sex lives of all other womanizers are. They have no depth! Their satisfaction is in numbers so they could boast and say: ” You know what? I’ve slept with 49 women. Hahahaha, 49 women!” And that was the sad mindset of Solomon who began so beautifully and from that beautiful experience wrote the unique Songs of Solomon.
HOW TO BE A HOLY WOMANIZER THAT GAINS GOD’S APPROVAL
To be a Womanizer is not to float from one woman to another like a butterfly.
It’s to marry a wife and love, cherish, pamper and adore her joyfully and endlessly. It’s to love her body and prefer it to every other woman on the face of the earth. It’s to be willing to do anything for her so long as it’s within your power. It’s to hover around her mentally, emotionally and physically. It’s to love her with your heart, mind and body and always holding her with your hand even in her absence and not wanting to let go of it. You just love her and love her and love her….so much so that loving her is your happy and untiring hobby; and you’re so glad to be her Covenant HUBBY.
