“Some say that love is a pleasure, but I found no pleasure in love. For the boy/girl whom I loved so dearly has become my enemy today…”
This song, even though not from the pages of Scripture, carries a truth that needs your attention. And it is this: any lover outside the covenant bond of marriage can one day turn against you and become a deadly enemy that could bring you to utter and irrecoverable ruin and desolation.
💛🧡🤎NEVER HAVE A LOVER OUTSIDE YOUR MARRIAGE!
This means that on no account should you have a lover outside your marriage.
Even if your relationship with your spouse has been strained for days, weeks, or months, that doesn’t mean your marriage is dead and that it is time to find yourself “a new lover” somewhere. No!
💛🧡🤎THE HOUSEWIFE WHO GOT HERSELF A BOYFRIEND
Let me tell you the real-life story of the wife of a highly educated gentleman who went out and got herself a boyfriend. She chose a fellow who was apparently much younger than her. Of course, she knew it was wrong, but she went ahead anyway.
While her boyfriend serviced her sexually, she took care of him financially since she had plenty of money, and everything went on smoothly for both parties.

You see, those who go into infidelity rarely take the time to check, investigate, scrutinize, and know the history and personality of the person they are sleeping with. They are so carried away by the foolish excitement that lust generates. All they care about are the fleeting feelings of the moment. They are so trusting that they open their hearts to their illicit lover, just as Samson did when he told Delilah the secret of his great strength — not knowing that he was dealing with a heartless enemy who was working to have his two eyes plucked out!

Like Delilah, every person of the opposite gender outside your marriage who is attracting your sexual attention is a hangman sent by the devil to hang you! For now, however, they don’t look anything like who they truly are on the inside.

Are you wondering where they will find the ropes with which to do their job? It is you who will voluntarily provide them with the ropes. The ropes are your foolish acts of infidelity with them.
