DURING THE ENSLAVEMENT OF THE ISRAELITES in Egypt, a very potent spiritual truth came forth and it’s this: Women who know God and are in a covenant relationship with Him are different from ungodly women! GODLY WOMEN ARE LIVELY! This truth is in our anchor scripture reposted below:
“And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because THE HEBREW WOMEN ARE NOT AS THE EGYPTIAN WOMEN; FOR THEY ARE LIVELY”
(Exodus 1:19)
When you look in the New Testament, there’s a confirmation:
“Ye also, AS LIVELY STONES, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.”
(1 Peter 2: 5)
The fact is: what you are spiritually reflects greatly in your physical life and consequently in your love life and marriage.
God’s Word further says of the Believer:
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people”
(1 Peter 2: 9a)
Dear Christian Wife, the deposit of Eternal Life in you and the presence of the Holy Ghost in your life have made you a completely different woman from the unsaved women. With all their make-up, “make-down”, and make-over; false eyelashes, artificial fingernails, artificial hair, artificial buttocks, cosmetic surgeries, pierced noses, multiple earrings and ankle chains, you’re by far higher than them because you’re a woman of another stock, of a higher breed and you have a higher life, even Zoe, the life of God! You’re born of the Spirit of God (John 3:6b), hewn from The Rock (Isaiah 51:1) and are a partaker of the divine nature(2 Peter 1:4)!
As we can see from 1 Peter 2, you are a living stone and a holy Priestess.
Beloved, it will amount to self disgrace for you to live like the unsaved women who are still dead in their sins and trespasses; and who in their spiritual blindness, think it’s smartness to constantly harass, trouble and rebel against their husbands.
God commands you in Ephesians 4 not to live like unsaved women:
“17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.”
(Ephesians 4:17-19)
The portion of scripture above reveals the spiritually pathetic and tragic life of Sinners:
a)They walk in the vanity of their minds.
b)Their understanding is darkened;
c) They’re cut off, alienated, from the life of God.
d) Their hearts are blinded; and as a result:
e) They have given themselves over to practicing uncleanness.
f) They carry out abominable immoralities WITH GREEDINESS!
That’s why many of their married women readily give in to Adultery and other sexual vices at the drop of a hat: to get a contract, to pass promotion exams, for a big cash prize; for favour with the Boss at the work place, etc.
Christian housewife, wake up to your high spiritual status in Christ and the realities and privileges it confers on you in life as a whole and in your Marriage in particular.
Begin to see Love, sexual intimacy, romance, passion, affection, submission, obedience, reverence for your husband and all other aspects of Marriage from the God’s perspective. They are your ministries in the unique Love World that’s peopled by just you and your husband.
It’s time to shift from living a dull, routine and nominal married life. Move up; yes, go beyond just being married and intentionally fall in love with your husband again and again and again! Age has got nothing to do with what we’re talking about, because Love’s ever young! Get to work! Love your husband anew, afresh and like never before.
