🤎🎞️🌹​On the wedding day, the couple, as well as their friends, family, and guests, are all smiles. There is joy, gladness, and cheer everywhere, as everyone is happy that the newlyweds have finally tied the knot and become husband and wife.

​The reality no one thinks of on that joyful day is that as time goes on, challenges will arise. We do not desire challenges, let alone pray for them. We would rather life be a bed of roses, walking along flower-strewn pathways with our heart’s desires appearing without us even having to ask. But it is not so, because we live on a planet that is a battlefield.

🤎🎞️🌹​WHEN THINGS TURN OUT CONTRARY TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS
​One of the features of life after the sweet wedding day is surprises. For most, this comes some years after the honeymoon, but some experience it as early as the wedding day itself. A good example is the newly married couple at Cana in Galilee (John 2).

​Right when they were celebrating their new union, an adversary I would nickname “LASH” (Lack and Shortage) suddenly came out of nowhere, striking at the newlyweds. Suddenly, the wine ran out. Embarrassment stared the couple in the face, but then, something beautiful began to happen.

🤎🎞️🌹​GOD HAS STATIONED A MIRACLE WORKER JUST BESIDE YOU
​God, foreknowing that LASH would strike, had stationed a Miracle Worker in the audience. He was unknown to everyone, including the newly married couple, except Mary.

​Mary spoke to Him, and He performed a miracle that turned the couple’s embarrassment into a divine testimony—one that has been heard by the whole world and is still inspiring billions today!

🤎🎞️🌹​GOD MAKES RIVERS OF WINE
​When Jesus stepped in to solve the challenge of the new couple in Cana of Galilee, He did not provide a mere hundred bottles of wine. No! He provided six huge waterpots full of top-quality, concentrated wine, the type of which no one had ever seen before. It was a monumental quantity of superior wine. People drank to their fill, and there was a substantial amount left over.

🤎🎞️🌹​WHAT IS THE CHALLENGE YOU ARE FACING NOW?
​I have no idea what challenges you are battling right now as a couple. But here is what you need to know: God promises in our anchor scripture for today that He will do a new thing! That is exactly how He responded to the challenge of the new couple in Cana—He did a new thing by performing a miracle the world had never seen before.

​That is why you must cheer up, be courageous, and press on! God wants to do a new thing in your marriage, home, and family.

🤎🎞️🌹​A WAY IN THE WILDERNESS, RIVERS IN THE DESERT
​Right now, things may look so bleak that you simply cannot see a way forward. You may be struggling financially or even getting short-changed by your employers, much like the experience of Jacob and Rachel. Do not let the hardship break your spirit and cause you to make a wrong, regretful decision.

​Walk in the footsteps of Jacob. Be patient and continue to work diligently, just as he did.

🤎🎞️🌹​WAIT AND LET “GOD HAPPEN TO YOU”
​As Jacob continued to work, the day came when he acquired his own flock. God blessed his livestock so much that they outnumbered Laban’s flock in a few short years. Jacob became immensely wealthy, while Laban was left far behind. What happened? GOD happened. The long toils of Jacob, spanning fourteen grueling years, were rewarded in just six years. God did a new thing for Jacob, and He wants to do a new thing for you too.

🤎🎞️🌹​CONCLUSION
​Do not make the mistake of becoming impatient now. Do not make the mistake of throwing in the towel and walking away. You have come a long way, and it would be pure folly to give up now.

​Yes, you may be hearing lots of voices suggesting that you do something wrong because life has been unfair. Please, I beseech you to close your heart and ears to those voices. Listen only to God’s Word and His Spirit. God will visit you and create a beautiful highway in your wilderness specifically for you and your spouse. He will create rivers of whatever you lack today, and you will be fully satisfied and bless His holy name. Amen.🌹
