BE A DATE PALM SPOUSE!

Scripture:
‘THE RIGHTEOUS SHALL FLOURISH LIKE THE PALM TREE’
(PSALM 92: 12A)

🧡🤎💛It was January 1, 1863. President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation, which instantly freed every enslaved person in America.

🧡🤎💛A CRUEL SLAVE MASTER
Somewhere in the hinterlands of that great nation, a wicked slave master hid the truth from his tormented slaves and kept them toiling on his plantation. However, one evening, on their way home from the day’s grueling labor, they met a Black man who wasn’t in chains. This freed man marveled at why they were still bound. He broke the news of the Emancipation to them. In fact, he gave them his copy of the newspaper that carried the momentous news, as he had it with him and was certain he could obtain another.

🧡🤎💛THE POWER OF KNOWLEDGE
With the good news in their hearts and its documentation in their hands, these men entered their master’s compound boldly. Their swagger hinted to the master that something was different. When he commanded them to go to their quarters as usual, they roared back, declaring that they knew the truth he had hidden from them. They asserted their new identity, waving the newspaper at him with audacity. Seeing they had discovered the truth, he weakly and shamefully told them they were free to go.

🧡🤎💛TRUTH MAKES LIONS
Knowledge of the truth about their new identity filled them with boldness and gave them the voice of a lion that their wicked master could not withstand. They roared!

It is one thing to be married, but quite another to know in full detail the truth about your identity and capacity as a husband or wife. Our anchor scripture declares that the righteous shall flourish like the palm tree. The palm tree specifically referred to here is not the oil palm, but the date palm. Its botanical name is Phoenix dactylifera. God’s Word says that you, as a believer, are like this tree and will flourish like it. Hallelujah!

🧡🤎💛THE NATURE OF THE DATE PALM TREE
The date palm is highly fruitful. One of its peculiar characteristics is that each year, its fruits grow sweeter than the year before. That is your nature as a believer: you are imbued with the grace of God to grow holier spiritually, more efficient physically, and sweeter sexually and romantically with each passing year.

🧡🤎💛SWEETER SEXUALLY AND ROMANTICALLY
Your date palm nature gives you the capacity to function better as a spouse and to be more enjoyable to your mate every new year, making it absolutely unnecessary for them to seek affection outside the home. This means the older you grow, the sweeter you are in the bedroom.

As a believer, you are a completely different kind of human—sexually and romantically. Let’s take a look at the proof:

”3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.” (Psalm 1:3-4)

Whereas you are like a tree planted by rivers, the sinner is like chaff. How much moisture does chaff have? None! Unbelieving men and women are sexually and romantically “chaffy.” They lack romantic moisture and freshness; that is why they are constantly searching for “true love.”

🧡🤎💛YOU ARE EVERGREEN
As a believer, you are like a tree planted by rivers: fresh, lush, and evergreen. These attributes affect every aspect of your life, including your sexuality and your entire love life. That is why Romans 12:2 lovingly begs you not to conform to the world. Why? Because it is unnecessary, since you are different.

Therefore, when unsaved and “chaffy” housewives deny their husbands sexual intimacy, you—as a date palm wife—should be wooing your husband and attracting him to yourself, giving him a sweetness that increases every year. Similarly, born-again husbands should adore their wives, courting them anew and drawing them close for love and affection. They should not behave like unsaved husbands who are like chaff, driven by the wind to cheat on their wives.

Be a date palm spouse to your partner today.
