🪇In our anchor scripture for today, God commands us to be satisfied with what we have. He’s saying that what you have should be enough for you and that you shouldn’t give greed and lust a place in your heart.
🪇If we would properly look at adultery, alias Extramarital affairs, the real factor that stirs it is the negative sense of not being contented with one’s spouse. Which is the same reason many women wear false eye lashes and other artificial things.They’ve allowed a subtle sense of incompleteness sneak into their hearts to make them feel inadequate without the cosmetic thing they want to wear.
🪇Sir/Ma, God wants you to be proudly contented with who you are.
🪇In the same way, He wants you to be happily contented with the life partner He has graciously given you.
🪇Many times, the devil stealthily comes to Spouses to whisper in their ears reasons why they shouldn’t be satisfied with their Mate. He’ll give them a long list of the faults and imperfections in their Mate that should make you dislike them and look for “someone else who is better.” If you believe him, you’ll end up ruining your marriage and losing your beloved partner. And not too long afterwards, the hard reality will dawn on you that you’ll never find a replacement that’s half as good as the mate you carelessly and foolishly tossed away.
🪇Be contented with your spouse. They may not have all the material things you need at the moment but don’t allow a poor sense of judgement deceive and mislead you.
🪇Finally, always remember that God never gives a stone for bread, a scorpion for an egg or a snake for fish(Luke 11:11-13).
🪇His gives are always good and perfect. And that’s what your Spouse is: A good and perfect treasure from the Heavenly Father. Therefore deeply love, highly esteem and lovingly handle them.
