MANY YEARS AGO, A CHRISTIAN LEADER shared with me how he had to plead with his Wife for years to allow him see her full nakedness! In some marriages, it’s not the wife but the husband who wouldn’t let the wife see his nakedness. In such unions, all their sexual intimacy in the bedroom are literally shrouded in darkness. But it wasn’t so in the Beginning!
Our anchor scripture presents the first husband and wife.They were both stark naked in broad daylight and were not ashamed! Moses who was given this great revelation was specifically led to record the fact that THEY WERE BOTH NAKED AND YET UNASHAMED; because at the time of his writing, humanity was already heavily plagued with shame of nakedness and married couples made love only in pitch darkness. This was why Leah could be effortlessly given to Jacob and he never realized that it wasn’t Rachel until full break of day the next morning.
Dearly Beloved Spouses, God’s perfect will is for you and your Mate to be fully liberated in your minds concerning your physical bodies so much so that you’ll be absolutely free in your Bedroom Life.
Now, what powered the first couples’ unfettered freedom with their bodies? It was the Knowledge of the Truth.
1)THEY KNEW THAT THEIR BODIES WERE EXCELLENT CREATIONS OF GOD. Adam and Eve saw their Bodies as God’s perfect creation and they knew that God doesn’t make mistake. They knew that they were “perfect products” and therefore were proud of their bodies and gloried in them.
Similarly, you need to see your body as a perfect and flawless creation of God that it is and feel completely free to be naked with your Spouse in the bedroom and in the bathroom.
2)THEY KNEW THAT THEIR BODIES WERE THE VERY IMAGE OF GOD!
Who would have this knowledge and not proudly display their bodies knowing how so awesomely glorious it is since it’s the very image of the God of glory!
Dear Reader, have a deep-seated belief that your body is in the very image of God. No sane person would be ashamed of such a glorious body.
3) IF YOU’RE BORN AGAIN, YOUR BODY IS THE TEMPLE OF GOD!
If you’re born again, you stand even higher than Adam and Eve; and should be more proud of your body than he and his wife were of theirs before the Fall. This is because you’re a new creation in Christ Jesus and your Body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit! God dwells in you and walks in you! How and why would you be ashamed of such a gloriously honoured body?
