OUR ANCHOR SCRIPTURE SHOWS US THAT THERE ARE TWO types of women: Virtuous Women, Who Are The Crowns Of Their Husbands and The Women Who Bring Shame To Their Husbands.
Dear Husband, have you been able to know what kind woman your wife yours is?
A lot of times men assume that the woman that could be classified as “A VIRTUOUS WOMAN” would be perfect, faultless, and even super spiritual! But how so wrong! Listen: if your wife isn’t dragging you into shame often and on by frequent disgraceful conduct in or outside your home, then apparently she’s a virtuous woman!
The trade mark of the woman that’s not virtuous is that she brings shame, indignity, disgrace, dishonour and embarrassment to her husband again and again and again! For most men, this isn’t the case. And if this isn’t the case with you, then you do have a virtuous woman in your Life. And how you need to celebrate her!
At the funeral of every person whose life positively impacted hundreds of other lives, encomiums, eulogies and tributes almost literally rent the air. Good as that is, the truth is, those outpourings of respect and recognition are completely worthless to the man or woman lying cold and motionless in the casket.
The time to celebrate anyone for being good is while they’re alive and could enjoy the praises and testimonies of how their efforts to be good hasn’t been in vain but richly fruitful.
If by this devotional piece your eyes have been opened to the reality that your wife is indeed a virtuous woman, then begin from now to celebrate her. You needn’t wait until seven months time to post a colourful picture of her on Facebook, with a fanciful write-up telling the world how you love her. No. Praise her today for the Okro soup she made yesterday that tastes so rich, admire her for her constant watchfulness over the children, shower her with appreciation for being “a sleek and smooth operator” on the bed of love; and thereby keeping you from straying into the arms of Jezebels and Delilahs, many of which are now in the Church. And don’t forget to let her know from time to time that she is indeed a human corner-stone set in your life by God; and that you’re glad you married her!
Cherish her and thank God daily for giving you a wife who’s price is by far higher than the choicest and costliest rubies ever found on earth!
