RIGHT FROM
THE BEGINNING, NAKEDNESS OR NUDITY WAS GOD’S ADORNMENT for married couples. As our anchor scripture records, the first couple were naked round the clock and felt no shame. NAKEDNESS was a constant part of their companionship and it wasn’t accidental. It was exactly how God wanted it, until the Old Serpent, even Satan changed it. But do you know what? God wants to see you and your Spouse strong enough in the Spirit and liberated enough by His Word to be able explore the powers of your Nudity in your Marriage as much as the first Couple did! The first couple used it not only in their interactions with each other but also in their fellowship with God in the cool of the day. And God enjoyed seeing them worship Him with their naked bodies exactly as He made them.
There’s enormous power in Nudity. To understand this consider the fall of King David at the sight of the nakedness of Bathsheba. No hurricane could have pulled King David down that easily. That’s a demonstration of the furious power of nakedness outside it’s natural precincts: Marriage. If nakedness could destroy outside marriage, it’s proof that it has great power to build, bless and construct positively the lives of Spouses.
The truth is that the most fascinating spectacles under the Sun aren’t flowers, zebras, peacocks, roes and exotic birds, but the naked human body!
There’s Power in you and your Spouse seeing each other fully naked as often as possible. When you have the opportunity to see each fully naked under the Sun without other eyes seeing you, use it.
Seeing each other’s nakedness reinforces your love and passion for each other; and fills your minds with the image of each other. 2 Peter 2: 14a says: “HAVING EYES FULL OF ADULTERY…” This scripture shows that your eyes could be full of something. God wants your eyes full of memories of your Spouse’s Body and not the images of strange men and women on the streets.
Sex has its place in Marriage. Yet the romantic interactions of seeing each other’s body has its separate, distinct and very important place; completely different from Sex.
Prov. 5:19 is a command to both husband and wife even though it’s directed to the husband. It demands the husband to see his wife as the most beautiful woman under the Sun. For this to be a reality in your relationship, it becomes necessary for you to both allow each other the liberty of seeing one another’s body. This would naturally lead to Admiration of each other as we see in the Song of Solomon.
ADMIRATION is one of the core elements of Romance in Marriage. Other elements include: TOUCHING, KISSING, HUGGING, EXPRESSIONS OF ENDEARMENT, EMBRACING, etc. No couple outgrows practicing these.
Make optimum use of your bedroom because it’s much more than a space for sleeping and resting. It’s your Garden of Eden. Lock the door sometimes and stay undressed to have a visual feast on the glory of each other’s naked body.
