WHEN ISRAEL WALKED through the wilderness on their way to the promised land, God fed them daily with Manna.
Why didn’t He feed them once a week? It’s because He designed the human body to need fresh nourishment every new day.

And when Jesus gave the model prayer, part of which is our anchor scripture for today, He taught us to pray for our food for the new day, showing again that the nourishment of human life ought to be daily. Not weekly, fortnightly or worse still monthly.
Even within the 24 hours of the day, we eat thrice and drink water countless times; showing that the body requires much nourishment every new day for it to be properly sustained.

How about our spiritual lives? It has to be nourished DAILY with the Word of God, prayers, a diligent walk with God and a deliberate separation from Sin. If we dare stay off prayers, the Word and a close walk with God for just one week, we might be gone spiritually.

The Couple’s love life which Marriage represents must also be nourished as faithfully and as seriously as the body and the spirit man are nourished: on daily basis. It’s the absence of the commitment to nourish their marriage daily that has occasioned the slackening of marital bonds resulting in infidelity and other fallouts.
So what should Spouses do? The answer is simple. Nourish their relationship on daily basis.

Just as the feeding of yesterday is not enough to carry your body through a new day, so also, the nourishments you gave your marriage yesterday are not going to sustain your union through today.
The whole thing is logical and plain. The bathe you had yesterday isn’t good enough for today. You must take a new bathe or else you’ll smell and you’ll be ashamed. The headdress, combing, mouth brush of yesterday, etc are not good for today.
Similarly, the kisses, hugs, embraces, cuddling, lingering pillow talks, sexual intimacy, wifely submission, Christlike love by husband, companionship, etc, of yesterday are not enough for today. You need to give each other new hugs, new kisses, new embraces, new cuddling, lingering pillow talks, admiration, praise, appreciation, commendation, praise,etc for the new day.
It’s the absence of this practice that has led to the disappearance of honeymoon in marriages.
When you observe this consistently, a very strong bonding takes place in your union. There’ll be a powerful soul tie that will keep your hearts and minds so closely knit together that the thoughts of infidelity and extramarital affairs will be completely foreign to your minds.

In conclusion, your Marriage must be fed everyday. Do it faithfully and your Marriage will thrive and flourish ceaselessly.
