💕 TODAY, WE ARE LOOKING at God’s command that prohibits the practice of FRAUD on the Marriage Bed.
In our Anchor scripture, God commands spouses:
“DEFRAUD YE NOT ONE THE OTHER”!
This command forbids the practice of FRAUD in sexual matters. In other words, God expects Spouses to be sincere and truthful to each other in sexual matters; and to give each other satisfactory sexual services, that are rendered in full measures and promptly upon request.
To get a proper understanding of what God is saying here, it’s important we know the meaning of the word: DEFRAUD .
According to the Dictionary, DEFRAUD means:(1) TO DEPRIVE BY DECEIT;
(2)TO TRICK , DECEIVE, CHEAT, OR CON SOMEONE, SO AS TO COLLECT WHAT BELONGS TO THEM OR PREVENT THEM FROM HAVING SOMETHING THAT’S LEGALLY THEIRS.
(3)TO SHORTCHANGE A PERSON BY GIVING THEM LESS THAN THEY DESERVE.
From the definitions above, it’s clear that the act of DEFRAUDING(in the Marriage Bedroom) is a
well calculated and deliberate move to either completely deprive one’s mate of Sexual Intimacy for a period of time or to give them hurried, poor quality and low quantity Sex that leaves the recipient unsatisfied.
We find a good example of Sexual Fraud in the book of Genesis:
“But Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so whenever he lay with his brother’s wife, he spilled his semen on the ground to keep from producing offspring for his brother.
What he did was wicked in the LORD’s sight; so he put him to death also”(Genesis 38:9-10). Onan married the Wife of his late brother as the tradition of their day demanded. He loved intimacy with the woman but always preferred not to climax in her. He was giving the poor woman about 75% intimate services whereas God expected him to give her 100%. Because of Onan’s persistency in this act of Sexual Scam, God killed him. If God did not spare Onan, the great grandson of Father Abraham, the Friend of God, but killed him because of Sexual Fraud, then you need to beware lest He strikes you dead also!
How do Spouses commit sexual fraud against their marriage partners today?
(1) BY LYING.
As soon as their spouse is undressing for intimacy, they tell them,”Oh, I forgot to tell you that I have a severe headache. Infact, I just took my drugs a few minutes ago.”
(2) BY STARTING A FAKE PRAYER SESSION
It was my privilege to preach at a Married Couples’ Love Feast years ago. Every one went home elated and blessed and looking forward to continuing the Love Feast on the Bed!
But around 4.00 AM one of the Husbands called me on phone to say that since they returned from the Love Feast, his wife had been praying nonstop and not allowing him to touch her. As soon as he told me, I sensed that her lengthy prayer wasn’t genuine. It was a cover-up. She was avoiding intimacy with her husband and the prayer closet was a good hiding place.
We must avoid using holy activities as reasons to commit sexual fraud against our spouses.
(3) USING TIREDNESS AS EXCUSE
Many use tiredness as a result of the demands of the workplace as reasons to give their mate watered down sex or none at all. It’s like a Mother denying her Baby of breast milk for days because she’s tired. When you are working in the office or wherever else you work, remember that you’re married and that a Spouse is depending on you for their sexual nourishment and moral protection. Give to Caesar what’s his but don’t forget to give your Covenant Spouse what’s theirs.
Now, let’s look at it another way: if you overwork yourself at home and go to the office and sleep the entire working hours and you persist in this attitude for a week, what will happen? You know the answer, right? YOU’LL BE SACKED. If the Government can sack you for negligence of duty, then know that God can also sack you from your marriage, when you’re persistently unfaithful in the sexual responsibilities He’s committed to your stewardship.
(4) Other reasons.
When you’re married, God DEMANDS that you function 100% in your role as A SEXUAL SERVICES PROVIDER to your Spouse. You are called to function as a LOVER(LOVEBIRD) in marriage. Therefore, be a superlative Lover in the Bedroom. Be an excellent Kisser, a smooth smoocher and a consummate romancer!
No longer have a lackadaisical attitude towards your spouse’s sexual needs; because by doing so you expose them to sexual immorality and it’s attendant dangers, many of which are irreversibly life damaging.
Always render TOP QUALITY AND SATISFACTORY BEDROOM SERVICES TO ONE ANOTHER; and do so in the attitude of joy and cheerfulness!💕
