THE BOXER

Every Heavyweight Boxing Champion knows that the daily practice of his cherished sport is sacrosanct. He doesn’t joke with it, never skips it and dare not compromise his commitment to it for anything. Why?

Because his entire career as a Boxer depends on it. He must practice daily to be in the right physical form to face his next challenger, even if the next championship contest is still three years away.

From the daily personal times of rugged exercises and practices, he learns new boxing styles, tricks and moves that inject fresh life into his career.

THE RUNNER

The Runner wakes up well before sunrise. Wears his light shorts and top, puts on his runners shoes and hits the road, while it’s still predawn.

Just when ordinary folks are waking up and yawning, he’s already drenched in sweat. On the highway, he’s seen running at different places and doing some rather queer exercises that most don’t understand.

Infact, most road users who see him don’t even know him. But he’s well known and highly celebrated in international sports circles where through his daily exercises he dazes the international sports audiences with his lightening speed on the track lanes.

To him, his daily exercises are more precious than food. He’d rather go hungry for the day than miss his daily exercise routine which is the “Mother” of his victories and trophies.

THE LOVERS

The Lovers are married Spouses who are high enthusiasts of the Love Life and Marriage. They staunchly believe in marriage, monogamy and fidelity.

They know that being married goes far beyond wearing a wedding ring and living with a Spouse under the same roof.

They know that marriage is a serious covenant love life where they’re called by God to walk in the footsteps of Christ who loved the Church moment by moment, inch by inch and eventually gave His life for her redemption.

They therefore live a life where they’re sold out to loving their Mate unceasingly and with all the three forms of love: Agape, Phileo and Eros.

Like the Boxer and the Runner, they practice their “marital sports” every day. They kiss, hug, embrace and give attention to other details of the romantic life on daily basis. And so do they grow more adept and more skillful in their mutual love life. They’re never blunt romantically. Consequently, they’re “glued” to each other; keeping infidelity away!

Every need in their partner’s life is seen as opportunity to practice love!

They’re keenly watchful to notice when their Spouse needs a helping hand and willingly help out.

They’re observant and sober to know when it’s time to engage in servanthood and be a blessing to their mate.

They’re on the lookout for a way to be a blessing to their partner…to forgive… to be gentle… and to be sweet…to give a kind word.

Even when there’s nothing to celebrate, they’ll still celebrate their Mate with admiration because it’s good to do so and helps to beef up the atmosphere of joy in the home.

To Lovers, giving gifts needn’t be something for special occasions. If they’re able to light up their Spouse’s face with a smile through giving a gift, why not? They do it even if it’s just with a token gift of a small size Airtime.

Just like our anchor scripture tells Believers to keep the flag of Brotherly Love flying, so do Lovers keep the flag of matrimonial Love always flying.

And gradually, they’re growing into Heavyweight Love Champions in the ratings of God Who sees all things.

Sir/Ma, don’t be contented with just being a Mr or a Mrs. Go beyond that primary identity. Choose to be a practicing romantic lover to your Partner.

See to it that every day, the honeymoon atmosphere is thickly in your union and that you’re both in love irrespective of the changing circumstances of Life.
