LOVE ADAPTS TO THE LIFE, interests, desires, dreams, aspirations, etc, of it’s Beloved.

Christ didn’t sit on His Heavenly throne and preach in a loud and thunderous voice, telling us to repent. No.

He vacated His glorious throne and became a tiny foetus, stayed for nine months in the confined space of a virgin’s womb, was born in a lowly cattle shed, lived as a mere Carpenter, walked the dusty roads of Israel and died naked like a villain just to make redemption available to us! He came down to our level became a Man to be able to save us.

In Marriage, Spouses must walk in the footsteps of Christ. They must humble themselves, set aside their reputation become as their Spouse to have a winning Marriage.

In Marriage, a husband must become a woman since a part of him(his wife) is a woman: so as to have a harmonious Marriage. After all, the woman was created out of the Man.

This means that, when his wife is obviously tired and finds kitchen work too much for the evening, he should be able to warmly tell her to rest: get into the kitchen and cook something for the family to eat. This is adapting to his Spouse.

Similarly, a wife must also learn to adapt to her husband. She needs to adapt to her husband’s nature.

Living a successful love life with each other calls for flexing and adapting to your Spouse again and again and again.

You must come down from your natural place as a man or woman and “become flesh” and dwell with your Spouse. Your life need to become a blend of your nature and your Spouse’s just like Jesus became incarnate or God-Man to save us. He became flesh and dwelt among us(John 1:14).

If as a husband you realize that your wife is a sexdriven lady, that is, a woman with a very fierce sex drive. What to do isn’t to rebuke her, call her names and threaten to take her for deliverance. Sir, she needs no deliverance whatsoever. Simple truth is: you just need to ADAPT to her. There’s no demon in her.

And when it’s the husband that has a very high sex drive, the wife should adapt. God knew that your husband is like that before giving him to you and His grace is more than sufficiently available for you to adapt to him. As you do, your desire will soon be as much as his and might even eclipse his!

Adapting is a winning way in the Life of Love.

If your wife loves clothes a lot, adapt to her. Willingly support that personal nature in her as much as your wallet allows. That way you’ll both live harmoniously.

We’re commanded to weep with them that weep and to rejoice with them that rejoice(Romans 12:15). That’s a call to ADAPT. This is love.

But Selfishness says: “Don’t share in what others are doing. Live your own life.” Sir, this is the way of loneliness. True love adapts to the life of the one they love.

Paul used this method of Adapting and had a massive success in winning Souls to Christ. Let’s hear him:

“19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.”(1 Corinthians 9:19-23).

As a husband, you’ll need to become a woman sometimes to win your wife in marriage. And vice versa.

Adapting to your mate enables you to feel their feelings, hurts, joys, pains, etc; and to know them more.

As already said, Jesus became a Man to win us back to God. As a Man, He experienced all that we face as men and that’s why He understands our weaknesses.

Even the Holy Spirit makes our bodies His temple and dwells IN US! God the Father also dwells IN US and walks in us(2 Corinthians 6:16).

If God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit humble themselves and ADAPT TO US, then you can also Adapt to your Spouse.

Live his or her life: feel their pain, joys, hurts, etc. Be a blessing to them in meekness and humility and you’ll both enjoy each other freely and fully as God intended.
