JUST YESTERDAY, I SAW A VIDEO IN WHICH a Pastor who went to sleep with a pregnant married woman was caught, beaten and stripped COMPLETELY naked in broad daylight. I have no idea how beautiful the pregnant married woman is that the Preacher was willing to risk his ministerial calling, his dear wife, his marriage, his children and his home so as to “enjoy” her for a few fleeting minutes. But contrary to all his expectations, he was apprehended and mob action swiftly followed. And in less than ten minutes after they took hold of him, whatever good name, reputation or integrity he had were all suddenly
razed down and became a heap of rubbles as he was stripped completely naked and forced to trek to only God knows where, while phone cameras were busy filming his disgrace!
After watching the stranger than fiction video, I wondered where the man would start rebuilding his shattered life from. How would he face his wife, his aged parents, his in-laws and his Church members? As for his enemies, they now have a field day and can laugh as hard as they’ve ever wanted!
Dear husbands please, listen. Our anchor scriptures for today have three key messages for us and they are as follows:
(1) DO NOT LUST AFTER THE BEAUTY OF A WOMAN WHO’S NOT YOUR WIFE!!!
Do not lust after the beauty of any woman that’s not your wife! It means, don’t cherish, desire, wish for or seek even in the faintest way, the BEAUTY of women outside your marriage! If a woman has one bodily quality or another that you find attractive, please, run from her! She’s not a devil but please don’t look at her a second time… RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. That’s why 1 Corinthians 6:18A loudly tells us: “FLEE FORNICATION”! It means: ¹BOLT AWAY, ²TAKE TO YOUR HEELS, ³ESCAPE FOR YOUR LIFE WHENEVER YOU SEE ANY WOMAN YOUR FLESH IS DESIROUS OF. Run from them; run, run, run!!!
(2) DON’T LET A WOMAN CAPTURE YOU WITH HER EYELIDS!
Don’t let yourself be captured by the eyelids of beautiful women. Are you wondering what this means? Hear this:
Women communicate with their eyelids and eyeballs. Have you not seen that before? A woman can tell you that she “loves you” just with her eyelids and eyeballs. She can use her eyelids to tell you “Come to me”. Sir, when you you see a woman communicatting LOVE to you silently with friendly eyes and body language, you better start RUNNING!!!
(3) AN IMMORAL WOMAN WILL REDUCE A MAN TO A SLICE OF BREAD!!!
One of the grim tragedies that befall men who commit Adultery is that they’re drastically reduced in life and made so low and so small they lose their significance in the society. They become shriveled and weightless like a slice of bread that hasn’t much worth. What does all this mean? It means that the Adulterer will be badly downsized in life he loses all honour and relevance. Who buys a slice of bread to feed his hunger? Who sells slices of bread? Nobody. People want loaves of bread, not slices.
So, when a man is reduced to a slice of bread, he is lost and alone in the society. He is undone. He becomes a NOBODY. If God doesn’t intervene in his life he’s finished.
This fallen Preacher never anticipated that he would be caught, let alone being stripped completely naked, videoed and his video spread on the social media.
Sir, please, work on your marriage. Work on your relationship with your dear wife. Give attention to loving her sacrificially as Christ loves the Church and your union will be gradually transformed.
