🧡🤍🤎In yesterday’s devotional, we explored the story of a dogmatic husband who, instead of joyfully accepting his wife’s romantic suggestion, turned against her. He accused her of infidelity and deeply embarrassed her in front of her parents—all because he was stubbornly attached to archaic beliefs and impervious to the new perspectives that transform marriages.
Only God knows how many marriages with amazing potential have been destroyed simply because one spouse lacked the flexibility and openness to embrace new ways of doing things.
🧡🤍🤎THREE NEW THINGS
Today, we are looking at three elements that can turn your marriage into a mind-blowing romance and a sizzling love affair: Ideas, Concepts, and Insights (ICI).
While God’s Word provides the precepts, instructions, and commandments for marriage, we must also remember that He has given us common sense, wisdom, and intelligence. We are meant to use these gifts to generate the Ideas, Concepts, and Insights necessary to renew our unions day by day.
🧡🤍🤎ICI: INSTRUMENTS OF CHANGE THROUGH THE AGES
When you look at humanity and the food we eat, you realize that God has not created new plants, crops, or fruits since He finished His work of creation. We still eat the same basic crops available to the first couple and generations past.
However, there is a vast difference in how we consume them today.
Brilliant Ideas, Concepts, and Insights have been applied to transform the quality and variety of our food, allowing our generation to live better than those of the past.
🧡🤍🤎FROM HORSES TO AIRPLANES
Similarly, modes of transportation have evolved from horses, mules, and camels to cars and airplanes because new Ideas, Concepts, and Insights were engaged.
This means you must actively seek new ICI to experience a more exhilarating matrimony. Any idea, concept, or insight that does not lead to unrighteousness is from God. If you or your spouse suggests something new, try it out to see if it adds a positive dimension to your union. If it doesn’t work, simply discard it.
Don’t be like that archaic, slow-thinking, and dogmatic husband who rejected a beautiful idea his wife brought home from a marriage workshop and used it as a weapon to embarrass her.
🧡🤍🤎BE A LOVE DEVOTEE
Be a devotee of love and a marriage enthusiast. Be someone who is excited to see their marriage grow sweeter and stronger—someone humble enough to accept the Ideas, Concepts, and Insights that will take their romance to the next level!
