ON THE GREATEST DAY OF JOY in the life of a newly married couple in Cana, Galilee, “Fate” came calling. And suddenly, the Wine for the celebration ran out, leaving the young couple bewildered.
The Governor of the Feast looked on helplessly at the sudden situation not knowing what to do.
But right there in the audience was THE MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE, JESUS CHRIST, who could turn the ugly situation around but the Groom, his Bride and the Governor of the Feast didn’t know Him. Infact the entire crowd of guests didn’t know Him.
Thank God, there was a Woman who knew that THE MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE was there and that He could VERY EASILY meet the need of the young couple and wipe away their embarrassment!
Mary expressed the need of the couple to Jesus in a short, four word sentence
and His amazing intervention brought about the supply of supernatural Wine that was in great abundance!
What does Wine stand for? The Scriptures tell us that Wine makes the heart happy, merry and cheery (Eccl.10:19; Judges 9:13). Wine renews strength for the weary(2 Samuel 16:2). Wine is also medicinal and curative(1 Timothy 5:23). All these mean that Wine offers more than just a pleasant taste. Spiritually, therefore, Wine signifies Joy, Gladness, Renewal, Sexual Delight, Friendship, Fellowship and much more. Its these pleasant things the enemy struck to steal from the new couple; right on the first day of their Marriage. BUT THE PRESENCE AND INTERVENTION OF JESUS PUT THE ENEMY TO SHAME.
Dear Couple, what has the devil stollen from your marriage that you have chosen to endure rather than tenaciously seek to recover?
I once heard of a couple who were attacked diabolically on their wedding night and the husband’s manhood was seized. What has the enemy caused to cease in your own marriage? Will you choose to endure it’s absence or will you choose to cry out to GOD to restore it to you!
JESUS CHRIST IS RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE AND CAN RESTORE THE STOLEN BLESSING TO YOU IN MORE QUANTITY AND BETTER QUALITY THAN YOU LOST.
