IN OUR ANCHOR SCRIPTURE for Today, God humbles Himself and SEEKS RECONCILIATION with sinful men. He goes further to promise forgiveness for Sins! Yes, THE OFFENDED makes the big move for the restoration of broken relationship with the OFFENDER.

If God Almighty, the Possessor of Heaven and Earth, humbles Himself to seek RECONCILIATION with those who have wronged Him, then His action is a strong message to
you and I that we must also do all that’s necessary including humbling ourselves so that destroyed fellowship would be restored. We are under obligation, if we claim to be God’s children, to walk exactly as our Heavenly Father walks:

“BE YE THEREFORE FOLLOWERS OF GOD, AS DEAR CHILDREN; AND WALK IN LOVE, AS CHRIST ALSO HATH LOVED US”(Ephesians 5:1)

Dearly Beloved of God, it’s a New Year and a New Season. It’s time for you and your Spouse who have been at loggerheads to RECONCILE and let your marriage become beautifully active again.

One of the great marks of true spiritually in Christ is the ability to seek reunion and to initiate Peace even when it’s obvious that we are the innocent party. It takes the fear of God to do so and it may even appear to those who are carnal that we are weak, stupid and desperate but in the sight of God we are seen as wise and truly obedient children who keep His Word.

However, if you’re a WOMAN who has escaped from the house of your husband because he’s a Wife Beater who used to beat you up mercilessly, then you need to exercise some caution. Your family and his family MUST come together and be fully involved in any reconciliation plan. So also should key stake holders in your spiritual life be involved. Your cruel husband must be sat down and thoroughly warned in the presence of the two families and HE MUST be made to sign an undertaking NEVER to beat you again.
