ONE DAY LONG AGO, I WAS HEARING a female preacher ministering on radio. I was just “hearing” her voice but not paying close attention to her message until she began shouting, “You husband snatcher… You husband snatcher!” Till this day, I can’t remember what she was preaching on, but her languid voice as she cried out against husband snatchers hasn’t left me.

We hear more about Husband-snatchers than we do about Wife snatchers, Why? It’s because there’s much more of the former happening than there’s is of the later.

It’s common knowledge that there are more women than there are men. It’s my personal observation that even though ladies hanker after marriage while single, most of them become very relaxed soon after marriage and don’t see at all the need to keep a firm grasp or hold on their husbands. And it’s because of this laxity that Husband-snatchers have a field day!

If you’re a Wife, it’s important you know that your status is one that many who are prettier, more educated and richer than you are longing to have but don’t. In other words, it’s not common to be a Wife. It’s not common to have a husband. And if your husband is a good, born again and truly God-fearing man, how you need to realize it and hold him very firmly!

Husbands are rare, therefore heed our anchor scripture for today and hold your own close to your heart.
