ORDINARY HUSBANDS AND WIVES ARE CONTENT WITH LIVING UNDER THE SAME ROOF, breeding children and bearing their matrimonial titles: Mr and Mrs. But Married Lovers who have been instructed in the way of the Lord on Marriage do so much more than that.

Of course, they also live together under the same roof, breed children and bear their marriage titles but they are constantly mindful of the need to keep their pre-children love-lifestyle alive and growing even stronger! They know that the life of their marriage depends on it.

In our anchor scripture for today, we see the Married Lovers of the Song of Solomon in action again. This time they are in the Banqueting House!

Dearly Beloved, when you read the name “BANQUETING HOUSE”, what comes to your mind? For me, just seeing those two words together excites me because I know that only pleasant things take place in the beautiful building. The edifice is beautiful inside and outside; and the ambience it offers calms your mind, body and spirit.

The Banqueting House isn’t a place for hard labour or some strenuous brainwork. It’s a place for leisure, pleasure and relaxation.

And of course, when you’re in the Banqueting House you don’t eat ordinary meals. You’re served by Chefs and Stewards who treat you as royalty and you enjoy special cuisines and delicacies.

As a couple, your home is, no doubt, a great place and your bedroom is amazing but it’s expedient for you as a couple to know the powerful secret of bringing adventure into your union by going outdoors together: to some interesting places for the purpose of rejuvenating your relationship and getting it to grow stronger.

Going to the Banqueting House will cost you money but your Marriage is by far more important than the money; so save towards it because you deserve the treats it affords.

There will come times when what you’d need wouldn’t be an outing to the Banqueting House, but to create a Banqueting House right in your bedroom! Madam would make sumptuous meals and you’ll have a wonderful time of love and fun together!

When God instituted Marriage as a monogamy, one of the things He had in mind was that Spouses would be wise enough to know that He had built into them the capacity to renew, refresh and reinforce their love lives in thousands of ways; so that they never get bored with each other or their union. Sadly many couples are ignorant of these and that’s why they soon become tired of their marriage and foolishly yearn for extramarital affairs.
