YESTERDAY, WE SAW THAT KING DAVID ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ฑ WAS CURED of internal coldness by Love Medicine. The very special heat generated by the serious and wholehearted romantic activities of the beautiful and voluptuous Abishag, drove out all the coldness in the body system of King David.
As the Igala man๐ณ๐ฌ๐ณ๐ฌ๐ณ๐ฌwould tell you, “ลgฤcha d’ลlama re-n” meaning, “Truths don’t contradict each other.” In our anchor scripture passage for today, a viper that had hitherto stayed hidden amongst dried wood suddenly crept out when the wood were set ablaze and there was HEAT. So long as it was cold, it hid in the wood but the heat of the fire drove it out. And that’s what happened with King David. The heat of fervent romantic love generated by Abishag drove out the freezing cold in the King’s body
Many couples are indeed God’s perfect will for each other. However, they’re not generating FERVENT HEAT in their marriage and so “vipers”๐๐๐ and “scorpions”๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ of lust, extramarital affairs and all manner of harmful elements๐ฆ๐๐ต๐ are still comfortably hiding in and around their marriage. All because they’re not obeying Ecclesiastes 4:11
“AGAIN, IF TWO LIE TOGETHER, THEN THEY HAVE HEAT: BUT HOW CAN ONE BE WARM ALONE?”(Ecclesiastes 4:11)
The great Evangelist Reinhard Bonke once taught that flies can only stay comfortably on idle and cold cooking stoves. But once the stove is lit with fire๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ซ๐ซ๐ซ๐ซ, no flies dare come near let alone perch on it.
Sir/Ma, you don’t get married to each live your individual or separate lives under one roof. No. You marry to cleave to each other and generate a blazing Fire ๐ฅ ๐ฅ ๐ฅ ๐ฅ that dispels darkness and makes every pestilent element in and around your marriage run๐๐๐๐. So it isn’t enough that you live under one roof, it’s important and expedient that you come together OFTEN AND ON in fervent lovemaking that sets your body, minds and spirits ablaze. Similarly, come together in prayers๐๐๐, in the study of God’s Word๐๐, in entertainment ๐ ๐ฅฅ ๐ฝ ๐ ๐ and leisure ๐ธ๐พ๐ธ๐ช, etc.
In 1 Peter 4:8 we read: “But above all things, HAVE FERVENT LOVE AMONG YOU. For love shall cover a multitude of sins.”(1 Peter 4:8; RGT)
This verse is saying, “HAVE BLAZING LOVE AMONG YOURSELVES.” Why? Because it’s this brand of Love: highly intense Love, that would enable you overlook the wrongs, faults and misdeeds of one another!
To round off, let’s flash back at yesterday’s devotional teaching with a question: Supposing Abishag had done her work of romancing the King halfheartedly and with lukewarmness, would she have achieved the monumental results of getting the king cured of internal coldness and his body once again full of HEAT? No!
I strongly believe that those who sought, found and brought her to the Palace๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค must have first sat her down and informed her of the King’s health challenge and that her assignment was to use “WOMAN POWER” to set him on Fire ๐ฅ ๐ฅ ๐ฅ ๐ฅ ๐ฅ so the internal coldness afflicting him would depart. And so upon arrival, she threw herself๐งโ๐๐งโ๐๐งโ๐๐งโ๐ into the task, knowing that the King’s life depended on it. She knew there was no reason or room for shame and shyness. She poured herself into romancing the old man and gradually the strange coldness was gone.
So also, POUR YOURSELVES into your Marriage๐๐๐ because your mutual lives, to a lager extent, depends on it. Make your union FERVENTLY HOT by lying together to have steamy and sweaty sex often; and by walking with each other in DEEP SACRIFICIAL LOVE ๐๐๐๐๐๐ that constantly goes the extra mile๐๐๐ป๐๐ป๐ to help, please, strengthen, assist, support, serve, forgive, uplift, encourage, adore, cherish, nourish๐ฅค๐๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ฒ, pamper, admire, celebrate, eulogize, praise, rejuvenate and reinvigorate one another joyfully again and again and again to the glory of God; and making your HOME ๐ก๐ก๐ก๐ก a sweet colony of Heaven on Earth!
