AFTER GOD CREATED the Earth, the first thing the devil attacked was the Couple; and it’s because he hates Marriages. And when Jesus was on Earth, the first Miracle He performed was for a Couple; because God loves Marriages!

Yes, Satan hates Marriages, including yours and he’ll do anything to bring it down.

And being a master of subtlety, he’d come close to your ears many times to whisper Seeds Of Discord. He’ll work on your Mind to make you belittle the many good things in your Marriage. He’ll point you to the weaknesses and failings of your Spouse.
And as you listen, he tells you that your life would have been a completely different story, if you had married your Ex, who is now a Billionaire or a Surgeon! And as you begin to pity or blame yourself for making the mistake of your life in marrying “this unromantic Hermit” or “this ever praying Prey Mantis of a Wife”, who can’t even kiss well, but only knows Church and how to scream Hallelujahs, he tells you more!

Now, do you wonder why your Spouse is sometimes unexplainably unhappy or hostile, without any obvious reasons? It’s the battle of the Mind! The adversary is also whispering to them, bombarding their minds with negative thoughts just as he’s doing to you!

Husband/Wife, be sober and vigilant! It’s not everything your Spouse does or says that’s actually by him/her! Many are orchestrated by the devil! When God asked Eve why she ate the forbidden fruit, she said she was beguiled by the Serpent. Was she correct? Perfectly! The devil is still in the business of beguiling or deceiving modern day Adams and Eves, to dispossess them of their Garden of Eden, which is their Marriages. He wants to drive you into the Wilderness of Bachelorhood/Spinsterhood. This time as a Divorcee, with all the baggages that go with it. It’s your responsibility to be smarter than him by recognizing his devices and countering him.

Be sober to know when the enemy is influencing your Spouse. More importantly, be sober to know when he’s influencing YOU!

In our anchor scripture, Jesus recognized the voice of Satan speaking through Peter and rebuked him(Satan) INSTANTLY! If Abraham had been that discerning, he wouldn’t have consented to Sarah’s offer of Hagar, which turned out to be a huge and irreparable mistake! That idea was sneaked into the mind of Sarah by Satan!

Be vigilant! Mind what comes to your mind when you’re stressed out or having a misunderstanding. One prayerless move could place a dark patch of Regret on your Union or worse still, bring it to a cataclysmic and tragic end.
