SEXUAL CLEAVING

The fourth level of cleaving is Sexual Cleaving. This is the Ultimate Cleaving. Yet, it takes practicing the other three forms along with this to be Lovebirds who are ever growing stronger and flying higher in their love, affection and romance.

As expected, Sexual Cleaving involves the couple stripping completely and blending by sexual intercourse to renew their One Flesh bond and Covenant. This is the holy design of God and there’s nothing awkward, embarrassing or disconcerting about it. Sadly, many Spouses though fully married are not liberated in their minds to fully celebrate, appreciate and relish this “pinnacle of delights”. Instead, they equate this holy gift with fornication and so perform it with reticence and reluctance; and even feel justified in their unfortunate attitude.

If you’re that Spouse who sees Sexual Intimacy as “dirty”, you need help and that’s why God has sent this devotional piece out.

It’s important that you understand that the first couple, Adam and Eve never performed the sexual act until God commanded it.

After creating the woman and bringing her to her husband, God blessed them and said, “BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY…”(Genesis 2:28a). In those four words were encapsulated the command to Engage in or Practice Sexual Intimacy. So, engaging in this act with your God-given wife or husband is obedience to God’s divine command.
In Proverbs 5:15 God commands you to have Sexual Intimacy:”Drink waters from thine own cistern, running waters from thine own well”. He’s saying: “Don’t just sit there idle and looking at your Spouse. Get up, undress and engage in Sexual Intimacy.”
In Proverbs 5:19 the command is deepened as you’re told to see to it that you’re inebriated and drunk with the sexual love from your Spouse. Don’t let religion mislead you to equate Sex in Marriage with fornication and other forms of sexual immorality that God hates. Sexual Intimacy in Marriage is holy, pure, righteous, godly, immaculate and life enriching.

To have a marriage that’s ever growing stronger and flying higher, practice all the four kinds of Cleaving: MENTAL CLEAVING, VISUAL CLEAVING, PHYSICAL CLEAVING and SEXUAL CLEAVING. They are each important to the health and happiness of your lives as Lovebirds.

Sit down together this evening and reminisce. Recall your first night together and imagine, just imagine, that this night is that night. “Replay” what you did that night on a higher scale with the knowledge you now have from years or months of marriage.
