BEFORE MAKING MAN, GOD DECLARED HIS INTENTIONS: Man would be created in His very image and likeness. And because God is Love, the Man He created was also made LOVE.
Now, even though most people do not realize it, every one was conceived through the dearest, choicest and sweetest covenant activity of a couple who themselves came into a relationship of love and sealed it by consummating it with Sex after becoming husband and wife. So, human beings are not only CREATED by God Who is Love but also PROCREATED through the lovemaking of two lovers: their parents. This means that everyone has a double seal of love on them. This being so, it’s abominable and contrary to our creation for us to in any way act contrary to love. Sadly many do exactly that: act like the devil or even worse.
As a boy or a girl child, your parents did all they could to protect you from the corruption of immorality and it’s consequences. God used His loving laws to teach you to abstain from fleshly lusts and to wait till the right time, the right place(marriage) and the right person (your spouse) before living the love life He’s given you.
Thankfully, you’ve married and are now living with the right person you’ve prayed, dreamed, anticipated and waited for, for years. And now that you’re in your long awaited SEASON OF LOVE, why are you not flying? Why are you slow footed, dull, shy and lukewarm in Marriage: the glorious land of Love?
The woman speaking in our anchor scripture knew that she was in her life’s season of love(Marriage) and that her husband was exclusively hers and vice versa. And when you read the Song of Solomon, you find that, that pair, the man and the woman, were both ablaze with passion and romance. How about you? What are you still waiting for? Why are you not ablaze with romantic love as you should be?
Dearly Beloved, you’re in your season of love, you should bloom! Arise and be the Love Star God created you to be!
Let go of the petty hurts and differences and unleash the abundance of love that God has stockpiled in you for your husband or wife.
Overlook your Mate’s faults, failings and weaknesses. Choose to be the created and procreated Lover with the double seal of love that you truly are. Love your Spouse! Lavish your affection, passion, compassion, sexual love, hugs, kisses and all your other marital capital on them and make your relationship richer and sweeter than ever.
As we have said in the past, your sweet privilege of love and marriage to each other as a couple is timed. So, be wise. Love each other today as if there’s no tomorrow.
Spend on one another. Go out of your way and do those things you’ve been dreaming of doing together. Live out those sweet dreams and fantasies you’ve secretly embraced for so long. Buy your Mate that gift you know they’d leap for joy if you gave them. And even more importantly, give that forgiveness your Spouse needs, even if they’ve been too proud to apologize and ask for it. For Christ’s sake, let go; forgive them.
You’re a Lover: made by Love, born from love, called to love. Embrace your mission and zealously fulfill it with a strong sense of purpose everyday!

Just before bedtime, reread today’s devotional piece together. Thereafter, stand on your feet and embrace each other in a sweet and affectionate hug and pray for one another and give thanks to God for giving you to each other.
