TODAY, WE ARE CELEBRATING the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and it’s of supreme importance that as we do, we are also conscious of why Christ was born. He was born to save us from the power of Sin, it’s consequences and the person who brought mankind into sin in the first place.
God made man in His image and likeness and placed him in the best dwelling place possible on Earth: the Garden of Eden. But Man was deceived into Sin by Satan, God’s archenemy.
At God’s appointed time Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem to deliver humanity from the stranglehold of Sin.
What Sin are you struggling with today? Is it Adultery? Fornication? Masturbation? Pornography? Lesbianism? Homosexuality? Lying? Stealing? Robbery? Covetousness?Greed? Witchcraft? Idolatry?Occultism? Cannibalism? Sorcery? Alcoholism? Drug Addiction? Ritual Killing? Abortion? Kidnapping? Murdering Victims for Pay? Human trafficking? Thurgery?
God wants you to know that Jesus Christ was born to SET YOU FREE from that stubborn sin that’s holding you captive.
Our anchor scripture tells us the glorious words of the Angel who appeared to the Shepherds as they watched their sheep by night in the fields of Bethlehem:
“Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2: 10b-11)
Part of the message of the Angel was that a Saviour was born!
Jesus Christ is that Saviour who was born in Bethlehem. He came to save sinners irrespective of how long they’ve been drowned in the ocean of Sin.
Today, He is willing and ready to save you from that habitual sin that has held you in it’s iron grips for so long.
All you need do for Jesus Christ to save you is to BELIEVE IN HIM WITH ALL YOUR HEART (John 3:16).
You can do so right now and be gloriously saved.
