GOD’S WORD IS THE GREAT “LIFE RESOURCE CENTER” from which we learn how to live every aspect of life at it’s best. This very much includes the married life. Our anchor scripture, is one verse from a Love Song. In it we see how perfumes and scents were part of the adornments for marriage feasts in bible times. And as we saw in yesterday’s devotional piece, perfumes and scents were also features of the Love Life of the couple in the Song of Solomon. Most certainly, that lady and her husband were not the only Spouses who capitalized on the romantic values of fragrances in those times. Many other enchanted married lovers did. For us, all these testify to the fact that: it’s important for Spouses to give constant attention to how they smell in the marriage relationship. The reason is obvious: Marriage brings two persons of the opposite sex into the closest and the fondest of relationships where they see, touch, feel, taste and SMELL EACH OTHER daily and at the closest range. And since by nature, the human body gives off unpleasant odour after a number of hours, despite the most thorough baths, it becomes only wise to use deodorants, scents, perfumes and fragrant oils to diffuse that natural tendency and create, instead, a lovely and fragrant atmosphere around us that promote the feelings of love! Thankfully, scents and perfumes don’t cost a fortune. They’re within affordable price ranges. And since your Marriage is so precious, it’s never misspending to regularly invest in rich and high quality products of the Apothecaries’ industries that will give you the feeling of confidence that you deserve. Of course, a discussion such as this is never complete without a word or two about oral hygiene. Even if we use the best of perfumes, they do not cover up bad breath and unpleasant mouth odours.
