🪴🪴🪴In marriage, Spouses are called to a love life that grows deeper, sweeter and richer by the day.
🪴🪴🪴You are called to move from the basic and foundational love with which you both started out in marriage to something higher: Adoration and Endless love!
🪴🪴🪴When couples operate on the level of Adoration and Endless love, differences will be minimal and easier to solve; forgiveness easier to give and corrections and rebuke easier to accept. Why? Because the continual rain of love keeps their hearts soft towards each other. It’s hardness of heart that makes Spouses cruel and difficult to each other. It’s the same hardness of heart that made God permit Divorce in the Old Testament era.
🪴🪴🪴Please, note that Adoration is different from Worship. There is only one Person Who deserves our worship and that’s God Almighty, our Creator and Heavenly Father.
🪴🪴🪴Adoration means: “Deep love and respect”. It also means: “To love and respect someone deeply”. This level of love is compulsory in marriage. However, it won’t be dropped on you out of the blues. You grow it.
🪴🪴🪴The love that’s already in your heart for your Mate is the SEED you will carefully cultivate and grow into Adoration and Endless love.
🪴🪴🪴A good example of a couple who walked in Adoration and Endless love is the couple in the Song of Solomon.
🪴🪴🪴The Song of Solomon is a musical picture of the great love that amazing couple had between them. The Song of Solomon doesn’t show us the beginning of their love but portrays the intensity it attained! It was so deep and so strong that the man spoke the words of our anchor scripture. To him, his lady was the quintessential and consummate woman in whom there was no bodily spot or blemishes. This is exactly what God tells all husbands to do in the Book of Proverbs: see their wives as the Epitome of Womanhood(Proverbs 5:19). And that’s what every wife is; irrespective of her age, human frailties and weaknesses.
🪴🪴🪴You can cultivate your love for each other until it transforms into Adoration and Endless Love.
🪴🪴🪴 Tomorrow, by God’s grace, we shall look at some steps that will grow your love into Adoration and Endless Love; which is God’s perfect will for your marriage.
