EVEN THOUGH THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD📖📖📖 ON MARRIAGE ARE GLORIOUS, an overwhelming majority of churchgoing folks, who aren’t born again, see them as restrictive, over demanding and impossible to keep. But to the truly regenerated and heavenly minded Believers, they aren’t grievous but a great delight.
Our anchor scripture shows who we are as Believers: HOLY BRETHREN; PARTAKERS OF THE HEAVENLY CALLING! Aren’t these awesome and marvelous identities? They indeed are.
In view of who we now are through Christ, our conduct in our respective marriages💍💍💍 must be expressions of these identities.
Spouses should conduct themselves HOLILY in their marriages and put up behaviour that are worthy of the name: PARTAKERS OF THE HEAVENLY CALLING.
When you are called Archbishop🎤, Pastor🎤, Evangelist🎤, Bishop🎤, Reverend🎤, Canon🎤, Presbyter🎤, Music Minister🎻🪘🎸🎺, Prophet, Vicar, General Overseer, etc but beat your wife🤕🤕, maltreat😪😪 and deal with her as if she’s a house maid🧑🍳🧑🍳🧑🍳 are you displaying the life of HOLY BRETHREN? Are you showing that you are indeed A PARTAKER OF THE HEAVENLY CALLING?
We mustn’t be like Cain🌚🌚🌚 who was religious, pioneering the first worship and thanksgiving service on Earth🌍🌏🌎 and yet was COMPLETELY EMPTY of ordinary natural affection and therefore killed 🗡🗡🗡☠⚰ his brother, Abel, in broad daylight and in cold blood🩸🩸🩸🩸!
If you can’t love your Spouse who is the closest person to you and with whom you’re one flesh, then there’s a huge question mark❓❓❓ on your religious rank🕎 or ecclesiastical titles✝; whatever they may be.
And if as a wife you’re a Deaconess🤱, Rev’d Mrs🧑🍼🎤🧑💻, Pastor🎤🧑💻, Evangelist🎤, Bishop🧛🧛🧛🎤, etc, but disregard, disrespect, dishonour your husband🎩; and there are even reports of you being seen in shady places and in questionable postures with men🫂👥, are you portraying a life that honours Christ and His Name?
As holy people and partakers of the Heavenly Calling, let us live with our Spouses in such a way that our Marriages would become Epistles that unbelievers🕵🕵🕵 can read from a distance and be powerfully drawn to embrace and believe in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and be saved.
