🍊🥭One of the things that will keep your marriage from growing old and tiresome is Romantic Activities. They’re to Marriage what clothing is to the Body. They keep Marriage warm, protected and beautified. They charge it’s atmosphere with amorous powers. A couple with an apparently robust romantic relationship is a healthy pair. Just that alone tells you that that their bedroom life is in top form.
🍊🥭 Married Couple’s Romantic Activities comprises of scores of diverse practices: each of them an outward expression or overflow of the affection, love, zeal and passion that the Spouses have in their hearts for each other.
🍊🥭This morning, we’re going to look at a few of them.
🍊🥭(1) PLEASANT WORDS: Admiration, Compliments, Praise, Appreciation, Gratitude, Encomiums. Tell your Spouse positive things about him/her. Let them know that you appreciate who they are to you and what they do in the home, family and marriage.
🍊🥭(2) SWEET NOTHINGS: Sweet nothings are loving, affectionate and romantic words. Let them not be lacking in your marriage!!
Be liberal in your use of endearing terms: Darling, Cherry, Sweetheart, My Queen, My Lord, My King, My Lover, etc. Use these terms freely and actually mean what you say.
There’s no room for lying or flatteries. Truth is: your Spouse is so much more than whatever words you’ll speak. They’re one of God’s best gifts to you.
Speaking or whispering sweet nothings in their ears keeps your union bubbling with fresh life and energy.
🍊🥭(3) TOUCHING EACH OTHER: Your hand carries live wires of “love power”! That’s why God commands men not to touch women who are not their wife (1 Corinthians 7:1).
In Marriage, Spouses release power into each other by touch.
Touch each other in form of direct hand contact to the body, Pats in the back, Holding Hands, Place hand on wife’s waist; Embraces, Hugs, etc.
🍊🥭(4) UNDRESSING BEFORE EACH OTHER. Nude sights of each silently spark off huge erotic currents that course through your union, reinvigorating and supercharging it to your mutual advantage.
Now, we’re not talking of preparation for sexual intimacy. This is feeling free in each other’s presence in the bedroom.
This practice immunises both of you against being seduced by the nakedness of people outside your union.
🍊🥭(5) TOGETHERNESS: Play together, take a walk together, sit down and play some games together, read to each other, etc.
🍊🥭(6) GIFTS: Give each other impromptu or surprise token gifts. Simple and low-cost gifts that will add to the joy of your spouse. Could be a new Pen, a key holder, a fancy comb, a handkerchief, a nail clipper, etc.
Most couples wait for Birthdays or their marriage anniversary to give a gift. That’s waiting for too long. You could give each other simple but thoughtful gifts that tell your mate that they mean so much to you and that you’re always on their mind.
🍊🥭(7)LOOK FRESH AND LOVELY FOR EACH OTHER AT HOME: This is one of the areas in which many Spouses have blundered very badly.
Sir/Ma, Marriage doesn’t send you back into the stone age or the medieval times! No!
On the contrary, Marriage requires you to look sweet, smell sweet, taste sweet and feel sweet because you are now in the closest contact with a person of the opposite sex!
This means that while at home, look attractive for each other. You must not be dressed in rags because you’re now mother, father, a grandmother or a grandfather.
Your Marriage is an Office. Your home is your Love Headquarters. So, dress well while at home.
🍊🥭(8) SO MUCH MORE: As earlier said, Romantic Activities in Marriage consists of scores of love practices. We’ve only highlighted a few.
When your marriage is full of these activities, yours will be a sweet relationship that’s ever sweet and fresh. And you’ll never be tired of each other.
