💕🌹Marriage, like our relationship with Christ, isn’t meant to be a “Master-Servant” relationship.

💕🌹Remember Jesus’ words to the Disciple on the eve of His crucifixion? He said:

“Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”(John 15:15)

💕🌹And after His resurrection, we were elevated to the status of Sons of God and Joint Heirs with Christ!! So our relationship with Christ is one in which He is the Head and we are His Body.

💕🌹Similarly, Husband and Wife have a relationship in which the Husband is the Head and the Wife is the Body. They are one body and one flesh.

💕🌹And just as Jesus is the Leader of the Church, so is the Husband the Leader in the marriage union.

💕🌹Marriage is a union of Love in which, like the physical body, the members serve each other and sometimes, stand in for one another.

💕🌹In the physical body, the Head serves the Body in hundreds, if not thousands, of ways. And it does these without haughtiness or pride. And so also does the Body serve the Head: performing with willingness and joy services the Head needs but cant render to itself.

💕🌹Similarly, Husband and Wife are to serve each other in love and humbleness. According to our anchor scripture, Love is all about SERVING ONE ANOTHER.

💕🌹Stop seeing some services as “solely and only for men/women”.

💕🌹If your wife is so tired from the day’s work and there’s a huge pile of dirty dishes in the kitchen sink needing to be washed. Drop your phones and step into the Kitchen and help her. That’s love!! And the beautiful thing is: it wont make you less manly!!!

💕🌹Similarly, wives shouldn’t hesitate to fill male roles; when doing so would help their husbands.

💕🌹Do you know that Christ, even though our Lord, still serves us? He does in thousands of ways including being with us ALWAYS and interceding for us.

💕🌹So, never feel too big to SERVE YOUR SPOUSE!
